So called clean massage in MP won't cost that much. Whereas those out call to your residence or hotel, or those from hotel MP to your room are just likely not clean massage, the damage will depend on your skill to nego to reduce or get extra services.
Shanghai costs of living, fun included, all went up a lot. Used to be rather affordable. The only blessing is our strong SGD that offset some of these increase.
While many said the scene is dead, it's not true. Just the the operators are becoming more discreet and careful who they host.

FS starts around 2K, upwards of 5k

Back in SH. Quick report.

- Met sugar baby. Agreed on 3k. Photographer. But in real life 70% of photo not enough to get me motivated. Nice personality so we chatted for 1 hour then send her on her way with small taxi money

Gone are the glory days of old Judy's and Manhattan, when it was a pure meat market for foreigners.

It was just spilling out with Viet chicks just standing there waiting to be picked up for the night. Even when you sit them, no nonsense of so-called sitting fee.
ST 1500RMB, 1000RMB, and even less are available back then.

Too bad times have changed and they are all now predominantly frequently by local Chinese, who are willing to pay and play according to the rates as above.

Just back from SH for a short work trip.

Had read about all the high costs in SH so didn’t really had much high hopes. Had a late dinner at a nearby shopping mall and decided to launch Baidu map to scout the area. Using the keyword 按摩 gave quite a few hits. Can’t really see the full reviews becos no CN number to register an account so had to make do with what’s available for view.

Saw some suspicious massage listings (vague description, late opening hours) etc.

Not that adventurous to try that (from the listing saw quite a few other shady looking massage shops in the same building). Using Baidu maps’ street view mode, saw the building and it looks abit run down. Definitely not some place a non local should go along.

Alas feeling sore from the hard work the past few days, decided to try out this Thai style massage shop. From the outlook it does look decent. Faces a big mall by the road.

Just before I went in, saw 2 local ladies heading in (customers, not ML).

While checking the counter for the services, my foreign Chinese accent seemed to have opened some doors. A female manager just ushers me up after I told her that I want a 100min oil massage (they don’t have 60min listed).

So followed her to level2 and went in to a nicely decorated room. So far the experience has been that this looks like a 100% legit place. Just after I placed my bag on the chair, the lady asked in mandarin: mister , we have a new package that costs around 600 for 70min. Do you want to try?

Well I was gamed for anything since there’s no expectation at all. So I replied yes. Next she led me to another smaller corner room that is darker. Only a massage bed and some clothes hangers etc inside.

A young ML shortly came in and gave me disposable towel and shorts and off I went to clean up.

She gave me a nice oil massage and slowly went south. A simple nice and long HDLY was given to me while she was chatting about SEA.

Shortly turned over and she asked if I wanted autoroam. Read a tip that must always ask about the price. She quoted 500 rmb and shortly afterwards, unhooked her blouse and bra and pulled down her pants including underwear.

All in all I paid 600+ 500 rmb for a happy ending. Ok for a one off foreign experience but will probably do without the autoroam next time.
