I had been to alot of nice eating places with wide ranges of price and choices. But because due to my PTE LTD in vn language i dont dare to post in the forum as i could spell wrongly.

In my personal opinion, if u want cheap food, you have to be advanturous in trying out their vn food or try those roadside stall with very low stools. Who knows you might find something to your liking. Because oriental food can be quite on the high end.

Like reaper said, ask your companion to bring u around as they are local and might know some good food places which yet to be exploited. If not just ask your recep for places around your hotel which u can eat.

Re: Vietnam - HCM

i think most of the hotels 3 stars and below with charges USD$20-30 would close one eye and let u bring the girl in.
Some hotels would demand u to pay extra around USD$20 to cover up (extra room charge or something).
It is stricter at night.

You can try bring your key along in ur pocket when u go clubbing (just take the key out from ur kry ring and left the others in the room), because sometimes by the time u come back, the recep and the guard are always napping.....so u can tip toe with ur girl to ur room. lolx.

But like i said most 3 stars and below hotel would close one eye, but the girl need to handover her id/passport. And when the girl leaves, the recep would always call u which i think its a good security sense in case the girl ran off with your valuables.

I discover that more and more hotels are being built in a already spoilt for choices hotel zone around Cho Benh Thanh, so maybe next time the competition would be good for us.

Re: Vietnam - HCM

Bro, no one(or not many) here is borne with mother-tongue vietnamese.. if u spell wrongly someone will correct for u, even he joke/suan u, let it be. Thats the process of learning. If he suan u, maybe u will remember it BETTER. I m one example, when i start to pick up, and even now, my pronunciation also is "broken".

Vang, den bay gio toi van noi khong gioi.

Up till now, bx has a nice chuckle when i say something... but my pronunciation makes it sound like i said something embarrassing.

I'm just glad i can learn and make her laugh at the same time

Just keep up the diligence!

Re: Vietnam - HCM

Hi bro, I used to go to a Guest House, run by family, it is about 220,000 to 250,000 vnd per day, approx S$20 per day. Got hot water, air con, etc but no Internet la... It is on the street of 120/60 Tran Dinh Xu District 1, off Main road Nguyen Cuu Trinh and Tran Hung Dao.... If u register in with the same day, most likely u can stay with her thru' out the trip.

Hehe no la... actually my ba xa is from HaiPhong, so i learnt Hanoi dialect from her.

But has worked at a government job in TPHCM before, so can interchange between both dialects fluently... for me still i mix and match my N & S dialect.
