How does the karaokes work in BKK?

In Ayutthaya, besides karaoke they also work as a farm type of concept, u jus pick the girl walk up to the mummy nego the price for ST or LT, barfine then bring back hotel straightaway also can. no need to go inside n drink, rate is abt 1000~1500 ST and 2000~2500 LT, barfine 500

hehe the list i stated were normal k'ok la.. dont think of hunky-pankt (but if no hunky - panky in BKK, anyone believe..?) hiah hiah hiah...

of cos they provide farm services.. but not all GRO will do the same.. some only depends on tips (depends on look, pretty automatically get more tips from newbies) but this also never meant that they dont do FJ...

girls not expensive but the drinks in these joints are the killer, esp in Japanese KTV

but if u one big group can be damn fun i hear some Japs and Korean even do strip dance with the girls only thing suckz are the songs selection no chinese only old english, thai and jap/korean songs but tats all in Ayutthaya but i believe BKK should be the same and more fun with better selection of songs maybe?

He visited many places and amongst those places was Hollywood Disco. To cut the long story short his colleague commented the following:

Its true that lots of WL patronise this place.Most of them from entertaiment center,arb orb nuat& massage palour etc.But they are there with friends/colleage to chill & relax after work.But of couse there are also some which have poor business that day or so.Then they turn Fl when the right approach come.

Glad that the above mentioned samsters have expressed their opinions on this trivia. Here's my take.

1) Yes there're FLs/prostitutes that patronise Hollywood Disco. But which BKK nightspot doesn't have its fair share of "undesirable' crowd? To assume that the majority of the female patrons in Hollywood are FLs/prostitutes like my friend's colleague is totally ignorant. I'd say a good 20% falls into this category but they're not there to fish customers but to enjoy themselves.

2) My friend's colleague commented he paid THB3000+ for LT and considered it cheap. I'd say not really so unless it's really top quality kind.

I sincerely believe the observations from my 99 return trips to BKK should have some concrete truth in it. Also have semi reside in BKK for a certain period. I shall comment about Hollywood again when I return to BKK for the 100th time in Nov.

The reason I start this trivia is to dispell some misleading notions about the BKK cheong scene. It really irks me when I see obnoxious Singaporeans thinking that every girl in the disco is a prostitute with their ignorant mindset. Hope anyone that is just venturing into the Thai scene have a better understanding. Will think of more trivias when I have time.

Hey guys feel free to share your experiences in pubs/clubs.

I think nothing is impossible to get a ONS with those Hi-so ladies if you're handsome enough but to really have a serious relationship which leads to marriage you need to be the same or higher social status than them. These people are very class status conscious. You'll never catch them in Hollywood disco or Ratchada Soi 4 pubs. They have an image to upkeep. Our average middle income group which many of us falls in are considered Lo-so to them. You can only pray to kena a few million dollars from ToTo and automatically upgraded to Hi-so status. Haha.

just want to add my points here regarding hi-so ladies ...

the so called hi-so ladies doesn't mean they r rich, have a rich family or hold a senior position in a MNC etc etc ..
they just pretend to be hi-so and go to hi-so places hoping to fish a hi-so foreigners ...
of course .. not all hi-so ladies r what i have describe ...
many r just pretenders ...

in thailand .. face value matter more than anything else to this ppl ...

So, face do get in the way. Thais may outwardly appear easy going, smiling (mai pen rai or never mind). BUT beneath that cover -even lower middle class sneers on education level, dark issan types (except farangs, no 2nd look by locals).
