Yeah the barfine usually works out to 6 drinks, I think -- 300,000 usually. All these things fluctuate but I always found 49 to be the pushiest bar in terms of 'we go hotel' (amazingly so, sometimes), in general, tho these things vary from girl to girl a lot too. Way back when I had one call in sick to stay with me 24 hrs for 500,000... but for me the whole point of this scene is to avoid the strings, and that's what that was going to result in.
yep 49 is definitely the most pushy cos the gals there work on a queue system unless the customers requests for a full viewing of all the gals. so if this gal reaches her turn and accompany you but cannot go out with you they go right to the end of the queue again

Depends where you are in D1, it will takes around 30 minutes and around 45000 to 65000 vnd taxi fare to travel there without traffic jam...

It is a totally different concept in HK or HCM.
In HK I used to buy a copy of the newspaper and then while away one hour of more, slowly sipping tea and eating dim sum.
In Cat Thuong Restaurant, HCM, I went there to chit chat with some friends and the musician/singers and buying breakfast for them sometimes. Nothing to do and spend 2-3 hours there usually.

I used to stay at Ruby Star Hotel, Nguyen Trai, D1, when I visited HVM. It is about 15 minutes ride by bike, not very far, all the way straight from Nguyen Trai and turn left into Tran Phu.
