Ky Dong? In district 3, right? Somewhere near the church?
Yes, District 3. On the same side of the church but slightly nearer to the Vietcom bank. There are 2 shops of noodle there. 1 is Chinese noodles (By the main road) the other one is Chicken Noodle (at one of the alley). Both also not bad.
Side track to Joo Chiat, there is a Bak Chor Mee near the temple at Tembeling Road, not bad also

There is a Ba Chor Mee not bad at Joo Chiat Place.. No need to come HCMC la. Nearly 2000km U know??? Drive your purple car go there, maybe can get 1 free drink for a bowl of noodle ordered.
You sounds damn bloody farking familiar leh......... I tink I know who u are liao......
There is a few stall selling Duck noddles....above are two of them..
Another one I try before is at Dist 8....very nice too.
only read about duck noodles when I am back. Never had chance to try but I know from someone that there is 1 road side stall in D10, Nguyen Duy Duong which is also very nice
This trip to HCMC, i only patronize Cho Ben Thanh foodstalls. I find it expensive as compared to other districts. 2 pax eat and drink, comes up about 80,000 -100,000VND.
Usually I spend only 50,000VND for 2 pax in other market / roadside stalls
Fail to locate the banh mi stall make famous by carrot

Near Cho Ben Thanh, 1 bowl of noodles will cost you approximately VND25,000, plus drinks maybe VND15,000 plus wet tissue VND2,000. so approx. 1 pax will be VND42,000.
The Boss of Banh Mi stall was sick since our Long Ger left HCMC. Maybe missed Long Ger too much (Benh Yeu) Somebody took over for awhile but on sunday when I was there, the store was not there anymore.

I was informed by a Famous 5 stars hotel manager that, all hotels have to charge in VND not USD W.E.F. 01 July 2009 under the new law.
I always pay by VND anyway.
The hotel that I usually stay, in D8, cost only 220,000 per night.
For trips to HCMC w/o letting my number1 know, I stay in A&Em in D1. They got discount now. I took up the bigger room in A&Em for 2 nights plus 3 bottle of mineral water cost me $1,070,000 only.

I heard that this is for Advertising. All prices advertised in print must be in VND, not USD.

Not really. Aunty normally sell out by 10am. BTW, do you drive a Balck Toyota??
You may want to eat cheaper food in other districts. A lot of stalls in District 1 and 3 costs more than in other districts. For example, I bought submarine banh mi for 7,000 VND in Binh Tan district.
