I always believed the fastfood places in PI are all overpriced.
Take the famous Jollibee chain, all they serve is small portions of everything and at an inflated price. You would need to eat several plate at this place to be satisfied, and several orders here will quickly add up to $5.
And all the western style or western owner restaurants are not cheap either.

Only way to stay on budget and be full at the same time is to go local.
As others have mentioned correctly, simple rice and chicken +veg will go for about 40p in AC and will taste better than Jollibee or Mcdonalds.

Just my take on things here in AC.

I agree with you and others which is why I rarely post on this forum. I was orginally zapped many times in the past for correcting what I consider errors in what others have posted but being a newbie then and challenge a long time members post resulted in not only that member zapping me but I suspect all his friends did also. Yes, very immature. I am an active member on several other forums and post valuable info there. It's nice where everyone post what they think (be it right or wrong) --if it is wrong someone with the correct info will always correct it with no fears.
Now, I have so much info about PI as I have visited here so many times in the past 10 year but rarely will I post these days as it is much more easier just to read all and not have to worry about zaps from immature people.

As you be arriving, I will be departing today.
Situation for the last 3 days were severe downpours and street flooding almost all day and night.

Most bars were affected by blackouts (the bigger bars were ok as they have generators). So many bars were using candles, no dancers on stage as there was no music. Some beers were warm as no refrigerator working. The temp was not too hot or humid as the winds had picked up so most bars were ok without the AC working.

My hotel was running on limited power so only some lights and hot/cold water were on and TV and other not important things were out.

Good news is that bars remain open and if willing to sit in the dark with a honey under candle power with a warm beer then all is well.

Today, no rain for the 1st time in over 4 days and everything seems to be back to normal (for now) as another tropical depression is just entering Philippine waters, have to wait and see where this one will go and if it will turn into another Typhoon.

Sometimes I find some people like to make shit up to make themselves feel better or just to add to the # of post and again make themselves feel superior. They don't realize there are people on the ground (like me) who can spot BS when someone post locations that don't exist or crazy low prices that none of us outsiders can ever get.

Also, don't be afraid to post what you believe and also accidents do happen as I don't always re-read my own post for errors and later found I push the wrong buttons (like meaning to type 1000p but type 10000p in error) so this is where others in the know can always correct me (or others)

As I slowly recover from my alcohol induced semi coma. I read my own post and notice it needed a correction. If not by me then someone else will eventually come around to do it.

I just remembered several days ago I went to one of my usual bar hopping places called The Body Shop on fields (or actually slightly off fields). For those that like the sight of grannies in bikinis on stage, look no further than the Alaska bar on Fields.
There were a few there that the sight of it just makes me laugh. The bar is ok but I did notice the waitress was not as friendly to asian customers as to the white guys coming in. Before I write up a FR on The Body Shop,

Much more important I write up on their sister bar in Perimeter called the Roadies Bar (same owner for both bars)

The topic I wanted to bring up is runners as I had 2 runners from my latest trip.

If you went out and bought a cell phone and all the features were promised to you for the phone and you paid for it and got home only to find it didn't work or not all the features were on the phone, do you simply ignore it or do you go back to store to complain so the store can't get away with scams. Its as simple as that.

Just from my experiences and hopefully to keep all you guys from being scam in the future and by all of us being pro-active and responsive to any scams.
