Change in Batam always better deal than change in Singapore. But, don't change all at the harbour. Just change maybe $30 for taxi and misc spending. Change the bulk when you reach Nagoya.. Normally, if you find lots of money changers together, rates won't be bad one. I always change at Nagoya - shop name Batam Jaya.
