Better to stick to "Mai Linh" or "Vinasun" taxis. These taxis turn on the meter and only charge about 80,000 VND from airport to Ben Thanh market.

Even you take Vinasun or Mailinh from the airport, sometimes they also do not "like" to go by meter la.. Some crazy Vinasun drivers tried to charge my Tigeress a lump sum rate too and kenna from her. I have tried many other taxi companies and when they know you are not new to HCMC, they usually charge fairly. I never like to talk too much during the journey to my destinations when I dont really know the way.
