That's just your opinion. A little paranoid, if you ask me. Maybe I go with you also end up paying more. .......... just kidding hor.
One of my cheong buddies is Vietnamese, born and raised in Thanh Pho Ho Chi Minh, he works for a multinational corporation. He was one of many local Viets who taught me the 'correct' tips to give.
went to the 'reopened' gossip after a yr of absence due to a friend's demand to go there.
Saw a entrance fee sign that say at least buy a soft drink or beer at 190 000 vnd (can't remember the amt but around there) at the recep counter.
But we just continued to walk in freely.
The stage was moved to a more central position rather than the previous time which is at the front of the dj. More lcd tv was installed at second level.
Toilet was refurbished. Other than that still the same, like the enormous basses at the dj console.
Ordered bottle of martell cost about 2mil vnd plus plus. Improved from last time which was quoted 3mil vnd but i still consider its a carrot price.
The crowd feels like mafia, hooligans and those complicated people around (personal view). The WLs look not bad, some have model looks but feels too pro and street smart to me. Overall the crowd seems mature to me and its a hunting ground to the expats and the WLs' hunting ground for expats.
I always try to avoid these places like Apocalypse Now too because its a chopping board for carrots. But no choice, friend's birthday party. Rather go for MP at dai nam which is withnin the same building.
Q7 is mainly occupied by Phu My Hung, an expatriate area with high rise condos and some higher class cafes. Other than that, you will have TAN MY, the local area of District 7. Lots of food there and also some local discos. In fact, Q8 is more happening than Q7. Q8 has a lot of beer om and also other cafes that serve more than coffee and tea.
hello SINGVIET
where is these TAN MY area in Quan 7? more detail please....
Flying to SG tomorrow.
This time, I will explore these underrated districts. Hope to make a little contribution into the Hurricane list. Cant find any of these R&R places at D7 or D8 in the list except for this one only.
Paradise Club 2
Add: 333, Nguyen Thi Tap Street, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City
Is this a disco or KTV?
That's a Nightclub / disco. There's Paradise #1 in Phu Nhuan district, and there they have small tables and a dance floor for live dancers (performers, not customers). P2 is probably set up like P1. Haven't been inside myself yet. Have only passed it driving by.
Sorry that list needs some updating. Vietnam Lover is too busy to do that these days. There's actually a bunch of caphe oms out near P2, but I don't have the location info for them.
Basically P1 and P2 is the same concept. I been to P2 few times and its was pack that nite and we were all force to sit near the SPECKER which was very noise. Almost vomit out during the beating of the loud SPECKERs.
BTW SiR wendella, The cafe near P2 is not a caphe om, its a normal cafe, jus that the gers are wearing a bit too sexy thoi. That road nguyen thi thap have lots of HOT TOC.
Plz check your infor b4 posting next time.
Hey don't worry, Sir Bulldog, I have checked my info. Those places are actually not on the same street as P2 but in the vicinity, and there are a number of them. Not the same as the place you describe. If you carry on a ways on Ng Thi Thap you come to a stop light, and the side street to the left there (its a long street) has a few of them. Girls sit on chairs next to the road, so they're very easy to spot. Sorry I dont' have that street's name. There's another member on here named Mutantchicken who would. I believe he has visited them. I've only driven past them. (PM him if interested). But that's a well known spot often mentoined on another forum. If you do go there, I know Mr M.C. doesn't want prices in those spots to spiral upward due to over-paying new customers. He'll be more keen to share his info with those who proceed with that in mind.

I went in there recently when in the area when it started pouring driving rain -- it was funny to get out of the rain by heading into a disco, but it was the only place open around there. The music is definitely a bit much. They remodeled over a year ago and its never been the same since. It was uglier and more cramped before, but somehow also better, with a lot more character. Now it's just a clone of places like Barocco -- cold, hard, no personality. Just yet another place to show off your bottle. I guess that's a reason I haven't visited P2. Whats the point. Bumbi across the street looked permanently closed up--that was another reason to visit there, because you had those 2 bars right across the street from each other, could try one then the other. There used to be a 3rd next to Bumbi called Night Star, which turned itself into a karaoke (still there).
D7 is far from D1...so you must be prepared to travel...
Went to recee D7 just now. It only took me abt 15 mín to get to Nguyen Thi Thap,D7 from Bui Thi Xuan, D1.
I took the cab to drive along the whole stretch of road and yes there re were many Hot Tócs located along both sides of road. Some are decent barber shops with big mirrors, few re salons for ladies and few re those with happy endings. Ás I started to walk from No.540 back to the Le Van Luong intersection, I saw a shop with 2 girls wearing bikini tops sitting behind the glass dốor. However, I did not go inside as I was alone by myself and not want to get rip off without me getting more details and the prices. I suppose the concept should be the same as Tulip or Rose Barber at Tan Binh.
hi jackboy, talking about le van luong, most of the HOT TOC there prices are from 100k - 120k vnd. but jus afraid that they know you are not locals, then the price a bit high.
u can always ask the price with tips b4 u go in. usually they are friendly. no pro to ask.
Anh... is there any 'special' HOT TOC you recond along duong Nguyen T Thap? or any favourite Caphe Om along Le Van Luong?

I assume the price you indicated 100k - 120k dong is for massage or entrance only right? What is the price for full service?
