Thanks for your recommendation bro. Will go screen through the hotels. The last 2 visit the hotels i stayed in not great, so a bit wary this upcoming trip.

It does not matter if you booked online or not, when going back to SG, you can just go straight to the auto gate.

Just arrived Batam - well the ferry is empty ! This is the first time I see such an empty ferry in my many trips to Batam this is the first.
Im not booking hotel no more, Airbnb solve the horrible outdated and over priced hotels.
Secured Citral Plaza Nagoya Apartment for SGD 32/night and it's a WOW!

Actually Venew Spa is considered more expensive than most of the other spa because of its prime location.

I already checked those around Batam center. But then again, price difference not too far apart hence i do not mind paying a bit more Venew for the convenience.

A long long time ago, i used to walk to Utama for an intended "good relaxing" massage. And then i realize i made a grave mistake.

I walk around 15mins under hot sun, perspire like crazy for a "good relaxing" massage. 1.5 hour after my "good relaxing" massage, i walk back to hotel and again perspire like crazy. Upon returning to room, my body is no longer feeling "good relaxing".

Back then, i learned that if i need to buy time to give myself a good time, i will definitely do so.

Reason is prices will keep going up (15k rupiah chicken rice already no more, remember?). Batam is a place that when business is good, price sure goes up. Business no good, price remains until it closed down for business (eg, Formosa, Harmoni etc). Almost 100% it will not come down.

History has told me so.

Venew Spa starting massage price when it first started used to be around 296k rupiah for a 1.5 hour massage with free use of spa and comes with a HJ. Today, it almost doubles (maybe even more).

Yes, if i do not remember wrong there used to be 4 on ground, now only 2 left. They cut cost during covid time. Company used to try to market these ladies like the SIA stewardess.

Ever since last year, other than peak period months like CNY and Christmas time, the ferry i took is almost sure to be near to "empty" all the time.

Huh? I thought the price for hotel has mostly all gone down?

The hotel and most hotels i came across offers a lower pricing as compared to before covid time.

Only those hotels that were operating by some organization like Harmoni group, Artotel group, Sheraton group, Aston group, Swissbel group etc were priced higher.

Most of the rest of the hotels, like Namii, Biz, Pagoda, BCH, Hana, Barelang hotel, Holiday hotel etc were down-priced.

Wah bro. Your story remind me of my experience too. Months back, while waiting for Grab, an ojek rode towards me. He told me he met with a minor accident. Showed me his angle. Indeed bleeding but not serious. Asked me for rp20 to buy medicine. No small note. So just gave him 50k. He was so grateful and wish to give me a free ride. Already injured and i dont take male ojek. He thanked me and ask for my numbers. Who knows he may have lobang for me. That night i recd a video kol. It was his daughter. I was rewarded. One good turn deserves another.
