Nonetheless had a good road trip.

Nok Air does have a package by air/coach bus via UT to Vientiane across the friendship bridge.
I believe you are going by bus direct to Nk. There also is a shuttle bus from KK and or UT via the friendship bridge.

Went to nataree and pink panter. All open and lots of girls.

It's business as usual for tourists. I went to the gathering near mbk and central world. It is more like a concert than protest gathering. However I still recommend practice of cautious when you go bkk. The blocked road are manned by Thai opposition supporter. They check your bag just like what security guard in mall does. And most mall closed at 1900 when more protester gather in fear of looters.
