A straight impact on the team would be great... Missing him big time on the left... He is technically gifted, he has good dribbling, he has almost everything to be a succesful player... What I dun like of him is his decisions, I have often seen him doing a last min dribbling instead of a cross, or trying to beat a man that is well covered when he should have passed back... Going to be a bit cynical here, i like Kewell, always have... Have to agree with bro ah_gogo... Nobody needs convincing how good Kewell is on his day. I just hope he can get up a decent level of fitness... It will be a great boost for us... |

From another angle, Marseille also trying their luck ... they already know Cisse belong to the scrap pile in Rafa's books, plus now that they know "endless" American money is backing Rafa up, 8m can be a simple write-off ... that's why I think that 40m kitty is not gonna be a lot, unless Rafa remain shrewdly ruthless in his subsequent dealings.

It seems that all the French players find it hard to prosper or progress under Rafa, I miss Pongolle who is passionate & used to make immediate impacts when he got the rare chance to play. |

Frankly speaking, l already lose faith in Kewell.
He is not the player we see at Leeds anymore. With the 40M kitty, Rafa should be able to get some decent players. He is quite shrewd....

But I agreed he do scores lots of goals for Liverpool and we do miss him after his move. He is basically a very good striker, and if he is fit, I certainly dun wish to play against him, give him half a chance and he probably will put the ball in the net. And its pity his time at real was not successful, the coach pick the players he feel are better, but most of them are not in form and whenever owen plays, I believe he did make good enough imporession. I certainly wish Owen the best and hope he recover from his bad injuries and have a nice career, just hope he dun score against Liverpool though haha... |

Both of them was hot prospects, and was performing so well in the age-group games for France, with Ponogolle among the top scorer right? In fact, most of Houllier import is either gone, or on loan somewhere..... |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
On Pongolle, the problem would always be his small frame. Its not easy to ride the rough tackling players of the english game. Look at Owen. He suffered and never really recovered. He has bulked up a bit, but i think he is still not suitable for the english game. He seems settled in Spain and if he were to return to England, would not be a happy camper. Better to see how to make his move permanent and close another chapter on Houllier.
On Owen, his threat is already too well know. All it takes is another mistimed tackle and he is injured again. I fear he will not play for very many matches before he KOs again.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
I really hope Cisse don't come back to Anfield. Have never been impressed by him, although he did score some good goals. His misses are more than his hits. But, his speed is really something to be impressed with. But not his face. I think he is the only Liverpool player whom I can't really stand the face of. He is always complaining on the field about his fellow colleagues and always give that "du-lan" look. See already damn buay tahan.
Basically, he has a kinda attitude problem and may create havoc in the dressing room. Quote:

Plz let Cisse go...he is a bigger whiner then Heskey.....he may have the speed but his shooting makes one wonder whether he is more suited for playing rugby or football....balls always go sky high...

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Speed only when he feels like chasing for the ball. I find his work rate pretty deplorable, expects to be fed most of the time, and his placement is horrendous sometimes. I would prefer to see him off, preferably not in EPL, as it may come back to haunt us, like what Anelka attemepted to do.
