$500 = RM 7.50 ($3) If time n effort put together, what is there to save?? Many people just look at small figure neglecting the transport costs, time n effort taken.... If 1/2 is spent, that mean his hourly value < $2.00($1 for transport).... The main purpose is for people to see whether their money changer nearby is better or those along their journey is better. Maximise along the way n not by going out of the way... |

If changing large amount S$1000 and above Normally when changing large amount, you can negotiate with the money changer to give a better exchange rate. Do a mental calculation first before making a decision whether it is worth travelling to the money changer with good rates. The extra ringgit that can be obtained should be able to cover your transport cost to and fro from the money changer plus some balance ringgit to compensate your time and effort wasted . If changing small amount S$1000 and below Since the savings is not much, don't think can cover the transport cost. Better change it at a money changer near you to save you the effort and the time. |

Yes, you are right. Last year and before, singaporean/foreigner can only buy malaysia property that is RM250,000, must be 2 storey high and only from developer. On top of that still need to pay a levy of RM2000 + stamp duty + lawyer fee. Many years back, the levy was RM100,000. Early this year, new rule, the minimum price of the property singaporean/foreigner can buy in malaysia has been raised up to RM500,000 must be 2 storey high and only from developer. But not sure how much is the levy now. |

Most of the resale units are mostly mature estates with good location like town area and are reserved for malaysian to buy only. The minimum amount for buying a property in malaysia by foreigner has been raised up to rm500,000. Reason could be due to cheaper housing has to be reserved for malaysians only. Foreigner who wanted to buy property in msia not only have to pay levy + stamp duty + lawyer fee, application to purchase the property need to be submitted to foreign investment committee in KL for approval. Recently, i notice that the standard of living in JB is getting higher. A plate of chicken rice use to be sold at rm3 now increase to rm4. Bak ku teh last time at rm6.50, but now up to rm8. But the increase in the price of goods and services in other states is not so significant and substantial unlike JB. Even for massage, charges in some mp in JB is really ridiculously expensive e.g. rainbow mp at jln serampang, the prc/NL masseuse also ask for additional money of rm50-100 for roaming beside the rm60 massage fee, rm5 pull curtain fee and request for tips. But this is unlikely to happen in other states. Like in KL, a FJ session with a PRC streetwalker in town who has her own hotel room, you can enjoy with just rm100 for a fj with rubber provided somemore. |
