U are teaching ppl wrongly. If u meant by just going straight then bicycle and scooter are the same but riding a bicycle and scooter are definitely not the same. Advice to the rest... if u dun have experience on motorcycle before, no license, even if your life is cheap but think of others life. Just spend a few $$$ on public transport n enjoy more in CM.

Yes is true, although bike is one of the best option to explore CM but if you're not a rider in sg better just take public transport or rent a car about 800-1000 baht daily.

And don't drink and drive !!

My bike skill is lousy....I rode bike in Hanoi before for a month and gave up. Yes, it is cheap, easy to go anywhere but end of the day, my life is worth more than convenience.

Add another idea......bike skill lousy is ok, just go sian a nice northern puying and she will let you ride her bike in day time and ride her at night time
