In dongguan towns, u can get many cantonse, hunan or sichuan resturants, but what if u missed the home taste foods? Here is some quick guide for your reference...

Makan in CP
For those who like me, who always away from home for long, sometimes, u may feel like missing the home food; then, u can go to this thai restaurant called Yummy, chinese name ChaoLiuZhan (潮流栈, which is in between Huimei n Lucky hotels), they just launched a nyoya laksa about 2 months ago.

The taste of the laksa is not that great (I would say it is only about 40% similar to our taste), but at least u get some different spicy taste rather than hunan or sichuan spicy tastes.

And, u must try the tomyam kung, the soup is great, this is the only thing that I can feel like home cook food in cp.

They also have sambal kangkung, but taste not that original; don't try the singapore fried kuitiao (rice noodles), it sucks...

They do have singapore hainan chicken rice, i feel that the rice is ok, but the chicken just so so... to me, Huatai hainan chicken rice is better! (the restaurant at Huatai hotel 2nd floor).

There r 2 thai restaurants in cp, but another one is a bit out of central, so not recommended. Lazy people like me hate moving... Except when hunting for MMs... Hehehe...

Makan in Houjie
Houjie there is also one thai food, previously was quite good, but when I tried it during my last trip, the taste not that great... It is behind the ShanHu Hotel, located at ShanHu Lu (if I remember the road name correctly).

Lim kopi in Houjie
I seldom stay in guangzhou nor shenzhen, neither dongguan city, but only roaming the towns in dougguan; so far, houjie is the only town that I can find Starbucks! U may find many cantonese or taiwanese tea restaurants (茶餐厅) that sell kopi, but if u r away from home for long, I believe u will appreciate the starbucks kopi just like me! ^_*

The starbucks is located at the Kan Le Nan Lu, behind ShanHu Hotel.

Makan in Humen
This is the solid one. There is one restaurant named "singapore ba-kut-teh" (chinese name 新加坡肉骨茶)!!

Guess I don't have to explain what can u get in this restaurant liao kua?

The restaurant is located opposite HuangHe FuZhuangCheng, where u can just tell the taxi driver stop at si-ye-cao pub (四叶草酒吧) and u should be able to find the restaurant.

one point to add, huatai is now extending their ktv to 4th n 5th floors (prevoiusly they have only 3rd floor for the ktv), total rooms r now close to 70, they could appeal to be one of the big ktv cp... let c...

bbs price is generally 200/500 (one shot/overnight) or 150/400; there r very few also charge 250/600, which they regards their girls got better standard.

the normal tabao rate in cp is only rmb 5K - 10K, if the girl gets 12k n above, it is consider quite good liao. generally if u pay the girl above 7k, that should included the monthly rental.

rmb20K a month?
Even the ktv girl also can't make it!!! Or I should say, only very few can have such high income!!

If u go with the calculation, 1 month 30 days, there r 5-6 days the girl is having period n inconvenient to work, n few days they will on their own holiday, that left with about 20 working days.

For overnight, the girl will get rmb800, which they hv to pay 100 plus to the mummy (take 100 easy for calculation).
Assuming the girl is super pretty n lucky, n go out with the customer every night, that is about rmb 700x20 = 14,000.

Don't listen too much when the girl tells u that some customers paid her 2K or 3K a night, that is only once in the blue moon, 80% the cheongster in cp paid according to the market rate.

Lets look at the girl's expeses:

They have to pay 500-1000 for the ktv monthly admin fee (plus penalty sometimes); lets take the average of rmb 700.

Then, they also hv to do the face makeup, hair fashion n etc, that cost them about rmb 20 per day. Rmb 20 x 20days = 400.

On top of that, the girl will spend about rmb 10 for the transport, that is rmb 200.

Although these may not be the big amount, but the sum is rmb 1300.

Rmb 14,000 - 1300 = 12,700.

This is with the condition that the girl can go out with the customer EVERY NIGHT, but, look at the reality, how many girls r capable to achieve this?
Moreover, the girl cannot get sick nor urgent leave.

Actually, if the girl can have 15 overnights, she has considered very lucky liao. That is about rmb10,500 before minus the expenses.

The general income for the ktv girl in cp is about rmb6,000-10,000 (after minus the mummy commission n the above expenses, but excluding rental), if the girl can have rmb10,000 n above, that is consider super good!

If u bao the girl, she will save all the expenses plus she does not have to bonk by many guys, as such, to my own personal experience, the reasonable tabao fee is between rmb7,000.

But like other bros have said, u will never know what the girl will do when u r not around... I have been seeing this too often; at least there r 2 girls that listed in my contact list as "good", they r being bao by someone. they work part time in the very rare occasions so that their "husband" will not suspect them. N they r good at all those cheating techtics so that they r safely covered.

Final advice, think first before u act...

3Dee, your calculation is quite good. The only problem is many better looking girls feel that they should get more. I think only when the girl really likes you (besides just the $) and at the same time they have hit the point of not wanting to be bonk by so many different men, then they will be willing to accept a reasonable rate.

to my own experience, my suggestion for someone who wants to bao the girl (only suggestion, not the hard rule ya), u should hangout with the girl for few times get to know her better, build some understanding n kam cheng between both of u, then only decide on tabao.

the calculation that i gave u is only the gross, bare in mind on top of that, most of the time the girl will tell u she wants to change phone, mother sick needs more $$$$, bag got stolen n lose all $$$$, shopping with u n ask u to pay for the clothes... n other grandmother stories just to take out more $$$$ from your pocket! i bet, the actual amount will certain bigger than what u hv agreed in the beginning!!

worse still, some girls (in fact, quite many, to my own experience i would say 90%) although they r being bao, they still come out to work part time in the ad hoc basis. u will c them at the working place (chicken farm

) once in the blue moon. for some smarter girl, they will not show up at the farm, but they hv the good relationship with the mummy, n they will get the customer via mummy.

this happens most of the time in bbs. the reason y so is bcos the girl cannot go to work in ktv, otherwise she could easily regonised by someones (his friend's friend).

in addition, most of the working girl hv their regular customer before u bao them, when u r not around, they will just go out with their regulars!!

it is all about money matters. when they r being bao n stay at home (while u r not around), they got nothing. but if they go out with another guy, they get extra income! n majority of the bao girls that i knew of r very smart, they will not go out every night, but mayb once or twice a week, that it is hard for u to track them.

just a sharing of my experience here:

one of the girl that in my list n being bao by hkee, pretty, slim n good skills (can do CIM yo!!); but her cheating skill is even excellent! she can even out with me for ST while her "husband" around!! she will either tell her hunsband that she is out with the friends for shopping n will b back in 2 or 3 hours; or go to internet cafe for playing games.

another one, her "husband" will always call her between 11pm-12am, she is so smart that she will go ktv with me at 7pm, then back to hotel room at 10:30pm, chatting with her guy while waiting me back to the room. if her husband called earlier while she is still in the ktv, she will not pick the call but later on explain to him that she was out for shopping n forgotten to bring the phone.

there r lots of tactics the girls will do, i can't finish explaning here, but here is just to give the bros some examples based on my own few experiences.

BUT, again, not all the girls like this hor! i hv been seeing few, after they r being bao, they really very honest to their "owner". BUT, but, the case is really RARE...

if u physically n mentally can afford, BAO the girl is fine (ONLY to my own personal comment); but if value not for money, that is something that i cannot accept!
