i believe rafa will need to search for a top top finisher. be it villa, or someone else. and certainly hope to see kuyt scoring more goals too, he is running ard alot, working hard for the team, but not scoring enough lei....

Hell, we must belong to the same hell. I see 10 goals from him at least, plus 10 assists per season. Joaquim (Wa-kim) was a very exciting player during the World Cup too. The way he runs at defenders is scary. Looks like a Figo in his prime.

Agree... Guys like Alves and Joaquin run at defenders and i think will draw fouls like a certain Scum ... hahaha. If he can succeed, I am sure they will too.

BUt the thing is, having guys like this will tend to test our defence more, so we will definitely concede more as a result of having more attacking play

Well, I understand your point. It's true that if we buy more attack minded players, our defence may be under more pressure as these attack minded players don't track back as often to defend. Then again, Pennant seldom track back to defend also. So... Alves is a right sided full back who can attack and defend right? Someone along the lines of Riise?

Bentley's class. His crosses are quite good. But Blackburn just said they dun look to selling their players in the off season. So means if we want him, got to pay more.

thanks bro for correcting me, Bentley was one of the few english man in arse, who cant get a game. but he is doing quite ok in blackburn currently.

Alves can play both in defense and mid, like Riise, and Rafa prefer to have players who can operate in more then 1 position. remember last season he was fighting hard to get him, but in the end, guess the price too high.

blackburn also said that when they sold damien duff to chelski rite? then the manager was a certain Greme S guy.....
