How about the bank charges and related processing fees levied on the TT transaction? The final effective exchange rate should be lower.

I thought Bank Bumiputra already merged into CIMB many years ago. In Malaysia, the name change to CIMB.

Is there still Bank Bumiputra branch in Suntec ?

Banks Display table varies. But you can see the diff in Rates
yes you are right cos there will b a TT charge. Eg $20 for TT will b charged on the person sending.

Example, TT $1000, TT rate 2.50, Cash rate 2.490
Sender -$1020
Receiver +$2500

Unless your exchange rate diff can cover the TT diff, else better rate thru money changer.

There is some fee to be paid but I dun know how much as it is calculated all in inside the S$1,000. All I know is I give the bank officer Sgd$1,000 and my friend received RM$2,500 in her bank account.

Bank Bumiputra is at Suntec Tower One #37 level. The whole floor belongs to them.

Thanks. Look like the rate u got is more than 2.50 if it already included the related bank charges.

However, from the currency chart and the published rates at bank website for other currencies (as SGD/RM rate not available at bank's website), this rate is not possible as the bank TT rate normally cannot match the yahoo mid rate and sometime the money changer rate.

Rates will vary with MCs depending on their overheads (rental etc)/profit margins etc. Arcade is a reliable trend indicator with > 12 MCs - competition very keen. Cheers.

Comfirm backed from JB, most exchange rate put 2.44 but can change 2.48 for min 100 sg dollar. Also ron 97 up by 20 cent to 3.00 liao. For bro out there who JB for Petrol, wash car and other happy biz.
