Although rape normally involves the sex act, ironically, it seldom has anything to do with sexual release/lust.

Rape is actually a "power game" and gang rape, an act of "camraderie". While it makes them feel "in-charge" or powerful, the pepertrators fail to realise how cowardly/sick the act is. Rape has become like eating to them and the victims, "food".

The "shiokness" comes from the force used or victimisation which in paid sex is absent.

I think it is the newspaper's fault mostly also.

They only play on cases where there is a more "interesting element" to it.

For example, what is so fascinating about a chinese girl being raped by a chinese guy? They will probably report it but only in one small column.

but a chinese girl being raped by six black guys..., which everybody thinks is sexually wild... that's like WOW to them... Put it on the front page and now you have it... Everybody's buying ur newspapers.

And besides Africans cannot defend themselves, you put a story of six whites raping a chinese girl... you'll be surprised at the no. of foriegn white advertisors pulling out, and also the girl's reputation being trashed, aka..she asked for it, she was willing..blah blah blah... and blah blah blah, the guys are just having a bit of fun.... and the ways the government will go to protect them.... and the way own own government will try to cajole the other's country's governments.

My bf, who is also a great studier of crime also says about South Africa... SA has the highest incidence of reported rape/murder... Note the word reported.
And when people in developed countries get raped, they normally do not report it, it was just a "wrong" thing/step aka maybe I came on him the wrong way. My bf say for developed European and American countries, you times the reported rape cases by ten, for more Asian ones like SIngapore, times 4..... unlike developing ones, which still have that notion of sex being a sacred thing...so more people report.

As for murder, it is higher there for one simple reason. It is easy to get guns there and kill someone and get away with it. IN other countries, it is harder/impossible to get guns (like Singapore) or the police are more efficent (like Singapore again)... therefore killing becomes a less viable alternative. In developed countries, we have more access to lawyers/law enforcement agencies... so why kill them? Make them suffer. Sue them...

Imagine Singapore allowing guns to be sold... I think I will shoot my teachers or something. Maybe my boyfriend if he is unfaithful to me, or like unfaithful guys out there, who sleep around even though they have gf/wife at home whom they expect to remain faithful.... Opps..I not refering to people here.
