The Chinese have always been willing to do more and suffer to progress. WL is a short term career which can allow them to earn 20 times the income they would working in factories. This is significant as after working sometime as a WL, they have enough money to start their own business....
But as the country progress, there will be less. I think the situation is not as bad as Thailand. BTW... 1 million of 1300 million is a VERY small number. the same ratio used for SG means 2 - 3k of WL in SG. Not very many le ..

u can't blame the girls for going into this trade cos it is 1 of the oldest profession. When u can beat the society than join them. cost of living is UP UP UP,
 but income doesn't go up with the cost of living. Blame it on the society

1 job vacancy, thousands of U grad. fighting for it, many U grad have resort to earn quick money to survive, what do you think of the less educated? Moreover, pay is less, monthly RMB$3000 is consider good pay, don't sideline, how to survive?

haiz...many folks in SG often "small house see big house", fooled by numbers.
Esp SG gals, say many China gals are prostitutes, most China gals are cheats, etc etc. How many is defined as "many"? How many is defined as "most"? Many of these SG gals, never even step in PRC b4, then make such comments. Well, probably the numbers seen in SG, ie. number of PRCs in SG, and the proportion of those WLs & cheats vs the decent ones is higher. That is highly possible. If really that many, or most, of PRC women are so bad, why are so many of them able to get married with their men in PRC, having children (though legally each couple can have only 1 child, many continue to have more than 1 by paying abit of fine only), happy families? U dun see the poppulation declining drastically? While the rate of marriage & SG's population growth has raised SG Govt's concern, especially in recent years, hahaha. Officially, PRC has 1.3 billion population. Unofficially, the number is actually higher by a few hundred million!! Let's use 1.3 billion; 1% of the population, we get 13 million, enough to flood / overflow SGP!!! 1 million is less than 0.1% of their official population count! so, is 0.1% of population count still considered alot? Hee hee, a number game.
