News on the grapewine, is that belladejoir cheats people money, sara gives her legal advice on how to "get away" and then they share the loot with sara helping to launder the cash.

This is a much bigger scamming operation that involves belladejoir, sara and certain lawyers much more sinister than you guys think

A demand letter is just the starter requirement before going to courts, there is no guarantee with a demand letter.

Don't waste your time with the demand letter, go straight for magistrate complaint or the district court, send an official summons and get a default judgement.

But as mentioned, her lawyer friend sara will probably "advice her", better to get the CID involved if you can

I suspected as much already, surely more than meets the eye already, this sara lawyer is a well known scammer cum lawyer as well, blacklisted by many, even in my organisation (which is an MNC), the minute we see her name, law firm, we just dump it, waste of time and space this sara lady, she has tried to scam many already, but looks like now she ties up with other scammers

You cannot escalate to courts until you have sent a demand letter, or else the lawyer representing you will very likely get lectured.
There is a tedious step by step you have to take.
A demand letter is proof you have attempted to settle within yourselves but to no avail.
Even when you go to civil courts, courts or registrar will ask if both parties are willing to go to mediation.
Does not matter how strong your case is, if you refuse mediation, you will come across as unrelenting.
The courts don't care how aggrieved you are, they establish themselves as a neutral party and work to find a reasonable resolution.
It is only when one party becomes recalcitrant and repeatedly renege on agreed terms that the courts will come down hard.
But that is still a long way to go.
