I think we will see Milner on for Henderson, Ox for Wijnaldum and Origi for Salah in the 2nd half. Henderson is not closing the gap quick enough. We need VVD's leadership. Not shouting enough

It is a classic Man City Liverpool match. Both sides attacked with their strengths. We gave them 3 sucker punches whereas Aguero continued to fire blanks in Anfield.

It is a crazy season. We have double the points of the 5th place team and we had beaten the teams in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. All done without any major summer signings. City's 3rd keeper is Scott Carson. How unexpected.

The Premier League issued the following statement explaining the penalty decision: "The VAR checked the penalty appeal for handball against Trent Alexander-Arnold and confirmed the on-field decision that it did not meet the considerations for a deliberate handball."

I really dun care how they win but win is a win and 3 points.

Interesting that Sterling dived so much and Pep no complain. Too bad Martin Atkinson is not the referee or VAR ref.

Still buzzing!

That's a performance of champions.

Thought before the game we would need to be brave but not reckless, clinical when we got our chances, and controlled and disciplined without the ball. We were all that and more.

Thought before the game that the MF would need to be at it and positive from the start....Fab-Hendo-Gini were all that and more.

I couldn't give a flying f@#k whether Trent's handball was a penalty or not, it wasn't given and that's the end of it. Football's been like that forever, VAR or no VAR. Some days they're given, some days they're not....either way you get on with it and deal with it. The more City & their fans keep going on about it as being "the decisive moment in the game" after 5 mins...the more scared and psychologically spooked they now are of us. Let them keep moaning...I love it...f@#k em!

We had some nervy moments & close calls again last night ...but hey, weren't we playing the...ahem... apparently greatest PL team of all time...so it wasn't ever going to be a picnic. Yet we were ruthless & focussed & switched on....and I've witnessed far more uncomfortable games.

Let nobody denigrate our performance last night...it was a top class,well executed job of work.

BTW - the most pleasing thing of all for me last night was seeing those images of Sean Cox and his family enjoying the game from the stands. That's a far bigger thing than any game of football. Great to see you Sean, YNWA - and best wishes as you continue your recovery.

With regards to Taa handball incident, Bernardo Silva handled the ball 1st before it hit Taa.... So if an infringement was given, to be fair it would have gone 1st to Bernardo Silva.

Pool's finishing was clinical last night, that's the main difference between Pool n Mcity's performance.
