For those who like to go to Empo and Classic, I'd recommend Alila hotel at Pecenongan. It's just next to Empo and a 10-15 mins 850 m walk to Classic, though I'd usually take a Bluebird and just pay the minimum charge (30K to 50K iirc).

Makan in this area is also great, there's the 24 hrs halal Bubur (porridge) Kwang Tung which is my go to place after a night of heavy drinking and s*x, there's the famous martabak manis (pancakes) stalls as well as good and reasonably cheap seafood nearby at Pondok Laguna.

Anyone wanna meet up during 14 to 17 April, hit me up with a PM. I may be travelling alone and I'm malay, can speak Bahasa Indonesia and can be your translator. Cheers!

Wait to see if Alila have booking specials, sometimes book 3 nights price of 2, or other promo, otherwise Luminor Hotel is Brand new, cheaper, and even closer to Classic (5min walk). Those on hotel budget can try POP hotel also new and 5 min walking distance to classic, but tiny rooms

Thanks for the tip boss. Checked out Alila's website, currently they have promo 40% off for 2nd night's stay but altogether about the same price as Agoda for the 3 nights. Yeah, saw the newly built Luminor Hotel beside Empo last year. Now contemplating whether to book this, can save up to $70+ (2 pumps at Classic!)

Not new to forum but out of touch. Will start my trips to Jakarta soon!! Happiness!! Bro go for Luminor. Its like in between Alexis and classic.

Myself and another bro will be going to King Cross / Sumo Spa at Kelapa Gading this Friday. Both venues have dancers, KC has sofa girls, while Sumo has a massage ++ with two therapists for 725k ex tips. Will be looking to switch venues when the live band comes on.
