emm... USD150 to USD200 for fake goods? Leave that kind of prices for BIG bosses and rich expats. USD80-USD100 is still pretty much a ok price.

Come to district 5. Unless you really loves those so call "pretty" fake goods. 1 million - 1.5 million VND, you will get a pretty ok gal. Provided that you dont mind minimum communication - if you dont know a little bit of vietnamese language.

But alot of bros who stationed here would prefer "free" ones. 1k USD per month will get you a very decent gal. So why pay USD200 for 1 night?

I do believe you guys misinterpreted what I said. first of all, I am merely stating the prices that those girls in upmarket joints like CATWALK expect to receive. It is not the price I am willing to pay either but whether we are willing or not wont change that fact. I know that girls in non-tourist areas such as District 5 will cost less and is probably fresher, younger, "less exposed" and that goes for the prices of massage, food, and various other stuff too. but the outlets in those area caters for locals and most of the girls and sometimes, even the shop owners speak little or no English at all. the communication problem is a big barrier and many friends that I have spoke to told me it is not advisable to patronise KTVs in those area without the company of a local or at least someone who can speak Vietnamese.
given the situation, most people who were only in Vietnam for a short business or holiday trip will have no choice but to hang out in areas and outlets that are most accessible and convenient to them and the inherent higher prices.

if you can afford to pay USD1000 to maintain a girl for one month, you are a big boss or rich foreigner already. a person may be able to afford USD200 once in a while but not USD1000 in one lump sum. hope you get what I mean!

Pay what you can afford, for me consider the living standard in HCM compare to say BKK at USD 80-100 or USD 150-200, it is all a bit too pricey...for foreigne; especially consider that the normal rate for local can be as low as around 15-20 USD (200K dong- 300K dong) a shot and twice for over night and there are plenty of those too....and I am not talking about Desker road standard but decent quality...often much better then those that u see at Joo Chiat these day!

actually hor, if u are stationed here, and there are nothing much to do, screwing seems to be the fav pass time - so cheonging is, at least for me, a regular pass time. i will be like cheong 3 times a week, and screw at least once, if not 3 to 4 times a week...

Bro, 1K USD per month considered free meh? Many bros in HCM always say FREE when they paid so much more in the end.
