Re: Seeking advice over $$ troubles

I used to owe the credit card 10k over and pay back eventually. But u r married, I can't imagine the pressure on u now...If u don't want anyone to know about it, u got to repay fast enuff. Borrow from ONE BANK to repay all the other. Tat will make thing a lot easier...

Re: Seeking advice over $$ troubles

If u a PR, there is a way to use your CPF money. I can't reveal here as CPF will then close the loophole.

If u r Singaporean, 20K is actually chicken feed. Just get 2 jobs, sleep less, fuck less. In less than 1 yr, u can easily half, if not clear your debts. Yah, and cut up all your cards - they are death traps.

PS: I know what i am talking about as I used to owe like 180K. But all cleared now.

yes bro kick ass is right. I once had an outstanding of $200+ which i miss out when i issue the cheque to pay that month CC bill. DBS slapped me with a $500+ finance and late payment charge. Got a shock when i see the next month bill so had to call hotline to clarify why so high. After useless service from the CS officer, i demand the in-charge to pick up the call. Only then i found out the interest was based to the total charge to the card for that month which was $16K plus. I told the manager i refused to pay the finance as the amount is too high and it an oversight that i miss out the $200+ as i already paid $16K+. At least she reasonable to waive the charge and put this new card on giro as per other dbs cards i have.
Here is where DBS is different, the manager can activate the giro thru phone unlike other banks insist must fill up a giro application form every time.

Seeking advice over $$ troubles

Hey guys , hope kind souls out there can help

3 years back due to a failed business venture, i was about 200k in debt. Own almost all the banks in singapore money and managed to slog my way out of it. However during the process, due to a mis-understanding, standard chart issued me with a writ, I managed to pay everything own to them in 6 mths. I managed to clear all my debts in June this year and I have cancel all my cards except DBS and citibank

However recently I have run into some $ problems again due to another business venture. I tried appying to all the banks again. But all of them rejected me. I printed out my Credit breau report and they looks fine.

Can any kind souls tell me why is this happening and who I can write to to help me out of of plight now.

1st and foremost, what did u apply to the banks? credit cards, credit lines or loans?

2nd, how did u managed to clear all ur 200k debts? did u go thru credit bureau for settlement under a lower interest rate or u pay up all on ur own?

3rd, were u declared a bankrupt before?

Re: Seeking advice over $$ troubles

Can do Balance Transfer at 1.88% and pay a mimimum or lesser sum per month....take the balance transfer and invest in instruments that generate higher than 1.88% p.a and you can actually earn the difference....hope your credit rating is still okay and you can do the BT...interest at 1.88% and 24% makes a hell lot of difference!
