感同身受

I wish to talk about two things that related to "感同身受".

I have started this hug thread back in 2018. Back then I am really just looking for someone to hug as hugging is a soothing and therapeutic process to me, especially with the right person with right feel.

Over the years I have met some people, got good, got bad and the in-betweens.

Recently I have ask for financial help in my thread, first time I did that. A few strangers responded but only one sincere person help me with $200 and gave me until end September to return the loan. I have never met him nor chat with him before. Thank you for the help.

There is another senior whom I have met few years back for few times who help me with a much bigger amount. He always tell me, any problem that can be solved with money is never a problem. He always say as long I am doing ok, he is happy and ask me to take my time to return him when I can.

Last Tues, as I still in need monetary help, I pm another samster that I have met few times back in 2020. He replied on the same day, ask me how much do I need and say he was on business trip in KL, and he will text me the next day. So I waited. Until almost 4pm, he did not text me, so I send him a text and ask whether he can help me. He replied at 10+pm, said he just reach hotel and he is tired. He will text me the next day (again). So I wait and as usual he did not text, so I sent him another text and say it's ok if he cannot help or not willing to help but do not keep me in suspense. How busy can a business trip be that you have no time to reply yes or no but got time to surf sbf. Hours later, he finally replied that he cannot help me. I was like, why can't you tell me on day 1 when I approached you and after more than 2 days of anticipation then rejected me. No 感同身受 here and a bit 欺负人 in my opinion. It's ok, life goes on.

The second topic that related to 感同身受 is rape.

As define by Wiki, "Rape is a type of sexual assault involving sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration carried out against a person without their consent".

I was raped in February this year, in Malaysia. I did not manage to report to police in Malaysia as I was with the rapist who happened to be my then bf. He is violent and all I was hoping is to come back to Singapore asap. When I am back, I called the police but the answer I got was because it did not happen in Singapore, they cannot do anything about it.

Before I was raped, based on the drama we watched, people will always tell the victim, be strong, move on and forget about it. But after going through this ordeal, I realised the pain that we victims went through is beyond description. Not ashamed, but the helplessness during the process, the trust being broken and the inability to love again, to the extreme thinking of ending my life. Hence the senior who helped me kept telling me, if cannot work then don't force yourself to work, heal first. Most important is to stay alive, even if it means asking for monetary help to tide over.

Stay alive, to those going through the ordeal like me. This is not going to be easy, but I believe we will slowly heal eventually. The scenes might keep repeating in our minds initially, but slowly it will be buried.

As the man involved was your bf then, depending on the local law, u may not have a strong case, but I am not a Lawyer, neither do I understand Malaysia's criminal act. Do report to the Malaysian Police and they may be able to advise u accordingly what is your next best step to take.
