Bros,

u guys bring SGD and change Dong / USD at HCMC or change to USD first at SG?

Any place have better rate to change USD in SG? I think the hotel will charge 3/5% extra if pay by credit card.

Depends leh... if u book way ahead then budget air is cheaper. Else Vietnam air price not bad.

When i was stationed there, i always bring SGD to change to VND. I find changing SGD to USD then to VND a waste as the money changers all take commission. As for the hotels charging extra % for credit card payment, i do not think so as i have not encountered before. At least for what i know, Amara, Empress, Novotel, Caravelle, Shereton and even other local hotels don't charge extra for using credit cards

Bro Naemlo is right. Unless you book way ahead, then budget airlines like tiger air and Jet star will be cheaper. But if you are last minute most of the time, then Vietnam Air will be quite good. Sometimes during peak season like now (school holidays), budget airlines ticket can be very much cost around the same as SQ, or just slightly less.

Yes, Vietnam, especially HCMC and Hanoi are so vibrant now. But this also means that many good opportunties have been grabbed up already. Best time to enter a developing market is when there are not so many investors there yet. Vietnam is good place to make money if your business has been established there or you have been investing in other assets since many years back

Yes, the rates is better there. Normally I change abt 50SGD in Vietnam airport then the rest with goldsmith.

I live in HCMC, I can only identify Vietnam stock market and real estate as good money-making opportunities. Any other good opportunity besides the 2

That time mine airfare was $242 to HCM plus return from jetstar, i don't knw is it the cheapest rate?

As 4 NC, u go during HH?
