4 hours 30mins from KL to Danok, you must drive at least 140km per hours. I used to drive last time and got one trip I received 4 speeding summons. The fine is enough for me to take flight so now mostly I will take flight to Alor Star.
I just back yesterday. Yes, all the good hotels such as KPK, Oliver, Her Jia, New Satit and Oscar are fully booked during hari raya holidays. Actually most of the hotels are booked by OKT, they will charge you at least 50-100% more of the normal hotel price. It is not advisable to go there during Malaysia long holidays as the hotels and puying’s price are gone up. Most of the pretty puying will not working as their so called sugar daddy and tirak will be there. In addition, all the happening places such as HB, Paragon will packed with cheongsters. Cheers.
taiko... aiyo, why went back so fast. tot of kin beer with you one.... next time when?
What i mean is .. during the journey .. when u have to drive alone without friends ..
There are one time when i had to drive to Taiping alone .. even juz for a few hours .. but really feel lonely .. so i am juz wondering if any brother ever did that .. driving to dannok alone ..
I wanted to do that a lot of time when my HM went back to hometown oledi but when i think of the long journey, i decided to end up in E2
I will be going to Dannok again but definitely not during the Raya time.
Planing around end of October. This time, must make sure my trip worth and i am definitely going back to Hello Bangkok !
hmm... now i am having second thoughts about going to danok on raya holiday... but then hor... WHAT THE HELL AM I GOING TO DO IN KL ALL ALONE DURING RAYA????

What frustration, in our group they do it almost every week for the past 2 years already and still doing it.....!
To them it is enjoyment.....but coming back trip different story...they suffer as they all leave LOS with a heavy heart then 5-6 days later drive up again as if like KL drive to PJ...sap sap sui.....serious!

no need to face the frustration, tons of humsup lohs, more than willing to join and share share with you, just broadcast your out bound and in bound details and see what happened? You PM box will be full of enquiries. Best is to go and join Playman and all the humsup merry men. No frustration.
Hmm... looks like my little excursion to danok is going to go ahead anyway, even if i have to go alone. :P seriously, i don't think driving alone for 4 to 5 hours is that bad lah. like bros here mentioned, going up to danok is not the problem because you have the adrenaline rush of seeing the LOS pretty syt... but coming back is the real pain in the arse....
but oh well, my handphone appears to be unable to make any outgoing IDD calls (to do the hotel bookings) at the moment due to me just switched network to celcom. they said have to wait 6 months in order to open international roaming for me. if i still insist i want IDD calls, then i must pay RM300 deposit.... no way am i going to do that. so any bros kind enuff to help me do the hotel bookings? i will buy a beer for the kind one the next time we meet. either that, or i would probably have to buy a prepaid card to make IDD calls. so troublesome lah.... haiyooo......
if i don't go to danok, i would seriously don't know what to do in KL. die of boredom for sure! hahaha.....

Hi Class at 550baht is a steal for this season! The room are very clean and nice, better than Oliver and Oscar, in my opinion. Quiet too, away from all the boom boom boom thru' the nights. Don't think have breakfast, but who care. Probably one of the furthest hotel to HB, Model, etc... other than Hotel KPK...
Hi Class have many puying staying there, most are somebodies' teerak.

enjoy bro....
thanks bro etct88 for the pointers. so is it walking distance to the pubs like HB, Model, etc? and also, is it far from the customs' checkpoint? i planned to drive up to the parking lot at the immigration only (as advised by bro lonelyboy85 - thanks!). so am thinking if i can walk to the hotel or do i need one of those tuk-tuks.... prefer to walk, if possible, actually.
a quiet room will be nice, after a long night booming away.... cheers!
