There are big stores similar to Challenger selling IT products at competitive prices. No Sim Lim Square or Tower in HCMC. But, it is just a matter of time before there's one.

Ermm, beg to differ. Phong Vu at NTMK, D1 is pretty ok. Bui Thi Xuan and the small streets around it has alot of computer stores. Go to the one nearest to Coop Mart.

Prices wise, some products are similar to SG pricing. But some are much more expensive. LCD monitor is more expensive in HCMC. It all depends on where the product is from. Taiwanese and China products are cheaper because of import tax.

The price of assembling a PC is about the same as Sg. But the casing there are not very good, especially those less than 400k VND.

Small devices like USD drives, most of them are cheap because you will never buy those kind of brand in sg. Mainly from China and Taiwan.
