Just to share abit of my experience at Jazzy51

Was there with 2 of my ex-classmates, was there around 8 plus, so the crowd was still ok, quite a fair bit of ladies but can see guys are streaming in constantly. Got a table near the enterance, in no time girls start approaching us. Saw quite a few pretty ladies there (based on my own standard). So same thing, talk cock with them, ruba ruba with them.

Overall not too bad an experience lah, just that the music is way too loud, ears were like block the next morning. If not everything seems ok.

Another thing, the guy toilet got 1 indian man there who will massage you while you pee. Kao.. didn;t know that and was surprise when half-way through peeing, feel this pair of hands pressing my shoulders and neck, thought which lady, turn my head saw this big indian man kao.. almost cannot pee, junior immeadiately shrink half.

Also as mentioned by folks here, drinks are abit on the high side.

generally, i can say that the Viets are really much much better than the Pinoys at least.
as for giving them $10 for less than 5mins and they ask for more, also depends one lah.
of course they will 'try their luck' and like put on a sulk asking for more. but no one said we must give, if we really don't think it should.

i relate here my own experience.
there's once, this girl, she came to my table. we only talked, i did not do anything. Because i wasn't interested in doing anything, so all i did is talked with her.
she butterfly around, probably came back to my table 3x, of about 5-10mins each time.

i gave her $20 when i was leaving. she immediately protested, saying something like, "where got only $20? at least $30".

i countered her in a firm but gentle manner (ie, did not raise my voice or dismiss her offhand since there's no need to).
i told her, "Look, i did not touch you and never ask you to touch me or anything. all we did is chat. $20 is a fair amount. Don't think i am new here (my 2nd time there) and try to ketuk me".

i left and she was still a bit like sulking. but it was ok.

now, i still see her there, and she still recognise me. and guess what??
no bad thoughts or anything. in fact, she smiled at me (in recognition, not because she want to 'attract' me to jio her over) all the time i see her there.

and i can tell in all honesty ... if i jio her over to my table, she will gladly come over. if i ask her go hotel, she sure say ok (on the assumption she is those who ok with going hotel).

from my understanding of viets (and i think i understand them quite well), they are really a easygoing, gentle bunch.

treat them nicely (ie, firm and fair, no need to raise voice, no need show black face etc), they almost always will appreciate you for that.

there's this girl i know, she always come over talk to me. i never give her any tips. why?? we treat each other as 'friend friend', not just she 'butterfly' and i 'customer'.

One night i was there, i saw an indian, an expatriate i suppose, with long sleeve, nice watch and shoes. One of the vietnamese approached him and he was all over her.

Rabba rabba is pretty common in such places, but what he did was practically mauling her. Hands inside her skimpy outfit, under her skirt, etc..Could she that she was getting more and more uncomfortable as the minutes ticked away. The girls with us were watching him too, and hug us tighter in security, could see that they were none too happy.

We didnt do anything, as i guess this is the way it is, she's in this trade, and minded our own business, secure in the knowledge that we wouldnt do what he did. If we wanted, we would have just gone to straight fuck places.

Being a pro that she tried to be, after 15mins of mauling, she had enough of it, adjusted her askewed hair and requested for tips, which in my mind she certainly deserve it. But that guy kicked up a fuss and said it was only 5mins and didnt want to pay up, until the next table guy went to smooth things over.

I am not defending the girl please, no accuse the guy. I would agree that some girls would after a few minutes ask for tips, but it depends on the way we treat them. What they ask is not much really, compared to their throat cutting cousins.

We Singaporeans may be kiasu, but we believe in fair play. We do not like to con others, nor do we want to be conned. As long as there is a fair market rate going on, we pay for what we get fairly. Girls can only con us once, those that do, we will certainly not 'shake their hands again'. Vice versa too the girls, while we have a forum to weed out the bad eggs, do not be surprised that they have an informal network to avoid our own bad eggs customer.

(Had been cheonging for years in our international night life circuit, though not a lou chiou, and usually try to give a balanced report, staying around at a place for at least 4 hours a night after work over several nights. We might have met before, i am usually alone and quietly nursing a jug in a corner, observing, listening to music, minding my own biz.)

not that it is necessarily a bad thing ... i am all for United Nations concept.
but then, if you also did take notice .... quite a handful of the Indian expats are exactly like what bro Willy described ...
they are overbearing, and certainly behave like just one inch away from running amok.

as for the angmohs .... so far, don't see any of them like that.

eh guys, J51 is really getting lesser and lesser people. yesternite (17Mar), even when the 1st half ManU match was showing, still relatively empty. still can see lots of tables not occupied.
its so bad that the girl asked me for taxi fare for her to go to Lookers at 28 (and that was like half-time of the ManU match!)

to all those who use to patronize J51 .... eh, can try coming back again??
otherwise, this place will be overtaken by angmohs and Indian expats ....
and what's left of us local bros will be just a small handful.

oh yea, 'fair price' it should be.
of course, no one say that we cannot choose to give more. by all means, if you feel to be generous, yes.
but 'fair price' is a must lah ....

Have to agree with you on the Indian Expats thingy, thats what I notice even in places like OT. Not to be racist or what, but it just give people the impression that those IEs are starving...

Will try and go back there often to have fun once the funds come in.

nowadays the waitress there all quite attitude?

been there for 3-4 years, last time was quite nice... pretty crowded

i guess 51 isnt the same anymore..seldom go already..

i think the viets also dont like indians, i always see them avioding indians and i ever seen the indians pull them over but they rejected say leaving soon..LOL!

I personally likes 2 sit in a corner 2, n observe the happenings. I mus say tat I learnt lots by watching. Haha..... The very 1st time when I was there, I basically gave 2 girls tat sat wif me 4 less than 5 mins $50 each!!! Which I got a good scolding from friends after they found out abt it.

From than on, my usual tips will b $020 to $40, depending on how long the girls sat wif me. There was once when I was observing the happenings, saw tis girl wif her friend going around every table n getting rejected everytime. Came 2 my table n my friends rejected straight away coz her friend really can't make it. Tats y nowadays, I totally neglected all me thai tiraks n prefer my cheap thrills in j51. Haha.......... These viet girls 2 me r really mesmerizing in a way of their own. But 4 me, its always at the bk of my mind, play play only, no feelings involve.

I have no fixed position, would just sit anyway that's avaliable and most times had to share tables with others as it can be quite packed at times. Furthermore i dont stick to just one pub, prefer pub-hopping around our island, staying not more than 3 months in 1 zone to soak in the environment and culture there.

After that i would recycle the various nightlife zone again cos most of the girls would have changed. Been doing it for years. Always something new to see and feel. Plenty of WLs daily. Please, by no means have i visited every single one of them pubs or ktv, new ones keep popping up. I am not a lau chiao, compared to many others.

There's several other pubs in the JC area and it seems the simple and gentle pretty Vietnamese girls are heavy in this sector, while the LD greedy Thais are of the Beach road sector. Geylang's main licensed WL are thais, but the unlicensed ones are mainly $$$ hungry PRCs as well as the PRC populated KTVs there, except for Looker's pub-mainly vietnamese after 12pm ( pinoys - lol!...errr...better not insult anyone.)

Normally, i won't take the word of anyone on the popularity or the demise of a place, because there may be a variety of reasons by them to say so, eg:- competitors, axe to grind, protectionism, ego, etc. There are all kinds of people in the forum, from people in between jobs to KTV/pub owners, OKTs to Businessmen.

Therefore, the best thing to do is to read about a place here first, good or bad, try it out yourself, soak in the atmosphere for some time and then make your own judgement. You owe it to yourself to be happy, for only you can make yourself happy or sad, a choice one is always free to make.

As for 51 Jazzy, as well as the other pubs in JC zone, parked early this month there and found it pleasant, nice music selection, not too loud, vietnamese girls pretty, pleasant and plenty. All tables were full with enough girls to circulate.
