Actually no. The markets have interpreted the coup as an attempt to control the crap. Now whether the authorities are able to maintain that control is another question. Not a certainty which way it will go, but the article reasonably accurate based on previous experiences. Remember that the downward value of the baht over the last year already has a significant amount of 'crap' already baked in. I think Green Tea knows nuts about the economy and less than 1 week in power he cannot implement any policies to affect the baht effectively. Do you send your car to the clinic or mechanic to fix it? Monday we shall see where the baht & SET is heading. ITM most analysts & rating agencies view the coup as positive & stabilizing.

THB is heading south for past few days...
This yr the highest SGD to THB is about 26.17, today from about 26.04, it cheong to 26.14... Today USD peak at 32.78.... 3 weeks ago changed in super rich, USD to THB was 32.45, now super rich 32.65. For every 1000 USD, will gain 200THB.
