Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Benitez - Europe is simpler
Reds boss finds Premier League tougher than Champions League Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has admitted that he finds Premier League fixtures more problematic than UEFA Champions League encounters. The Reds have failed to mount a serious title charge in England's top flight since Benitez took over at Anfield in 2004. However, the Spaniard has demonstrated an impressive astuteness in Europe, leading his side to glory in 2004/05 and to the final last season. Liverpool were tipped challenge for the Premier League title this campaign, but have again failed to live up to expectations. And Benitez has conceded that he finds it easier to prepare his side for European matches. "In Europe you can approach a game tactically in a different way," he said. "In England it is a different style of football and more difficult for the manager to influence what goes on. "It is not as simple to influence the game with tactics in England the way it is elsewhere in Europe." Catalyst Benitez's comments follow a hard-fought success against Internazionale as late goals from Dirk Kuyt and Steven Gerrard handed Liverpool the upper-hand for next month's the second leg at the San Siro. The triumph did much to relieve pressure on The Reds boss, and he has voiced his hope that the display will prove to be a catalyst for an upturn in form. "The victory was important for the club. We needed to play well for our own people, and the attitude of the players was very good. The whole night was really important for everyone at Liverpool," Benitez continued. "I have always had confidence in the team. If we can play like we did against Inter over and over again, it will be good and we will win a lot of games. "If you can beat teams like that and play well, it gives us a high level of confidence in the squad. "I know what people were saying (about me). But as a professional you must be ready for every game, to prepare for every game the best you can and with the same ideas. "Now we have another important league game at the weekend at home to Middlesbrough. What we need to be is more consistent now."

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
For what he has achieved with & done to LFC,I hope he'll be given another season to see out his visions. IMHO he needs more good enough players to make this rotation system work well. Having said that,Man U and Chelski will always outspend us in the transfer market.

But on the other hand, hope he can make his rotation thing work better for him and not against him. I reckon he should learn from the best like Arsene Wenger, he is quite shrewd on the transfer market and always working on a limited budget. Look at the success he bring to Arsenal all this years. Look forward to a good game this weekend.

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
If Everton and Man City were to continue their fine form, they would give Liverpool a run for their money for that 4th spot. If that really happens I think I will lose more hair and sleepless nights.

To be hornest, when i called for the sacking of rafa its really came out from my desperation cos the time is really against the team..and against the fans all over the world..below,i will list down few point see wherether bros here got a sligh agree of what i say: I)18 yrs without a league champion to some of the new fans or young supporters even to me is a problem, but not a very big problem as we can still afford to wait, but spare a thought to those who's already in their 60s,70s even 80s,what about those seriously ill?Lots of them i believed are hardcore Liverpool supporters, the question is how long this group of supporters still got to wait before Liverpool win the premire league trophy?Or probably, thay got no chance to withness their favorite team in this historical moment again?so here,i like to borrow a famous quote from the great bill shankly“Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it's much more serious than that.”So,did rafa understand what this qoute means,or he dont even know it? II)Our team captain Steven Gerrard will turn 28 this comming may,in his whole professional carrer,he has won almost every cup eg: League Cup,FA Cup,Uefa Cup,Super Cup,Champions League. An intersting point to take note, although is not yet confirm but i think he will be the new England captain under Capello regime,so if our team still fail to deliver the illusional League champion,he will be listed as the only England perm Captain without winning a league champion in recent history.Compare to the likes of Bobby Moore,Bobby Chalton,Emlyn hughes,Kelvin Keegan,Terry Butcher,Brayan Robson,Gary Lineker,David Platt,Tony Adam,Alan Shearer,Davis Beckham and John Terry..And if we put his name in the bigger picture with the world legend together the likes of Pele,Maradona,Platini,Gullit,Barisi,Maldini,Mattha us,Klinsman,Zidane and so on..i think is the greatest regret in his entire wonderfull career. III)I believed our team we will improve either sooner or later..But while we are improving,do all bros here expect scums, gunners, chelski, manc, spurs to remain the same or even decline? From why i see,to be realistic if rafa still remain in the hot seat..even if we improve,we are hardly post any serious threat to the current top 3 teams and the rising team is breathing behind our back cos rafa do not understand his priority in the 1st place.Unless he can confirm with us he will win Champions League every season,if not slowly without any notice,we will start playing in the Uefa Cup,later in Uefa Cup via Inter Toto cup..Worsen the whole thing, when Uefa proposed to allow the cup winners to participate in the CL,rafa voice his objection!!Who ask him to be so clever!! IV)Having saying the above,i got to admit rafa is 1 of the greatest manager in the world long as continental football is concern but not English Premire League..Just look at his reaction and body language in League and CL,he got so turn on when our team playing in the CL,so i can foresee him to become the future spainish national manager.Hope all reds bros here can consider my points.

The two most successful managers in the EPL,Wenger took 3 seasons & Ferguson 6 seasons to deliver the first league title to their respective clubs under their management. From then on they ruled the EPL until Mourinho arrived. What does that indicate ? Team building ! & it takes time. |
