A Vietnamese woman, who is taught from an early age to sacrifice for her husband and children, usually has to learn English to communicate with a foreign husband and generally adapt herself to his ways instead of trying to make him change his habits and fit in with her. As for your comment on knowing viet WL, i can only say that guys cheong GL/JC and viet gal come to GL/JC to work. This is the 1st point of contact for sing-viet relationship. The gals being more receptive to the courtship make it more easy for guys to hook them up. I doubt it is easy to go vietnam for a few days tour then hook up/get to know gals from normal walk of life and build on the relation. Maybe instead of going GL/JC, we can go to the private schools in Sillypore and start tackling the students As for WL, there are good ones within the lot of bad eggs... |

Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner
cmon bro if are really in love with your her, i guess you have already prepared a sum of $ to get married and etc. and not just get married with a vn gal blindly and never to your own financial homework. so paying a interpreter doesnt cost much at most $200-300 market rate, just treat it as a hong bao $ for him/her interpreter lor, the also helping you both. this type of thing cannot save wan.
because rom so call 'guai lan' if your wife can pronouce doesnt means fully understand fluntenly what it is stated on the declaration paper lor, because the declaration quite long, even i speak english also speak till sehz. just my 2cents, get a interpreter to save those unesscessary scenarios, gd luck n congrat to u den. |

btw those rejected LTVP letter that send to you, are computer generated. so its computer rejecting you. first time they didnt access the case manually by hand. computerize rough buffer is 2.5k per mth gross anyway there is ways to siam all this problem, but that would cost. you choose to go the "white" way then wait. you choose to go "black" way then take risk and get it sooner. but i would not disclose any further. cheers. |

Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner
if you think that its computer rejecting you, then maybe you do not what is happening in the corporate world nowadays. All cases submitted to ICA are verified manually by ICA officers. If kanna rejected, then they will print out a `standard' letter to send to you. If they need to add on more info, then they will type in more points in the `standard' letter. Since you know the `black' way, why can't u using it to get LTSVP or PR for your wife ?

Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner
not undertable. it is because i dont want to risk myself lying to ica, i go white.
there is alot of sponsor companies out there helping if you can find, but in return u got to pay a fee to them. not cheap though. what i know is issuing appointment letter stating 2.5k, but the company also taking the risk, ica will check on the company background etc. because you are not even present working in the company, just a shield only. every month you still pay your own cpf n to the company. costly but xiong/. 2.5k cpf u contribute $500 + employer cpf u pay them too . total est $800 every mth. i see people succeeding, they cash rich to throw. i dont lor. |

Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner
Vietnam latest news - Thanh Nien Daily
extracting some points from the report: Teenage breadwinner So it fell to a girl still in the fifth grade to take care of her sisters, cook meals for everyone, clean house and earn a little money on the side. Her friends often find her busy with odd jobs after school, making some extra money for the family. “If I go to school in the morning, I deliver beans or uproot grass in the fields in the afternoon,” Dung says about her busy day. If no one calls her to do anything, she goes out to pluck pennywort or collect firewood, for which she makes VND15,000 (84 US cents) for a full afternoon’s work. Sunshine or rain, Dung takes her younger sisters to school on her bicycle and There’s no doubt that she is a good breadwinner. 1) bringing VND15,000 for a afternoon work is a good breadwinner? 2) I feel someday she may be pressured to work in a vice envronment. What you think? |
