If you pick up a pretty girl from a Bar or a Disco, it's 1000 ST, 1500 LT (2000 in high season if the girl is very pretty). In gogo bars, it's more expensive. I don't know the price for the girls who are not so pretty, I never take them, probably 1000 LT.

In Phuket there are many regular tourists who don't have any idea of the price, so the girls always take a chance at quoting high price if they feel the customer is not price aware. That's what happened to you. In phuket, never ask the girls how much they want. Tell them how much you pay. Never let them understand that you are a newbie in Phuket. Always tell them you've ben there before.

Some (pretty) girls don't want to go LT if it's early (I guess before 11 or 12 is still early in phuket) because they hope to get another LT customer later. One ST plus one LT is more money than only one LT.
An alternative m.o. is that they say yes to LT, but they ask one friend to phone them after you have finished your first shot. Then they say "Im sorry, big problem, my sister has no key, I have to go" or "my sister is sick, drink too much", and leave you.

Happens more often than not.........good point.

For the more daring bros, you can even try not negotiating the price. Just pay her what u feel worthwhile the next morning. As a guage, usually 1000-1500B.

I have some bros pay 4000B for 4 solid days.......salute!
