This illustration from another angle of view also tells me,not everyone knows how to take the ham out of the sandwich. Most would probably just walk off and go look around other stores selling sandwiches with ONLY cheese which he is unlikely to find.

It still takes a person to 1st understand how that sandwich he/she ordered with ham looks like in that cafe in order to be able take the ham out of the sandwich in one simple stroke and in one piece. If it looks like one that has been cut into 6 to 8 pieces for easier consumption,the buyer might not want to make the choice to separate the ham out of the sandwich afterall. If he does,he is likely to have a little harder time doing that.

What i am implying is,knowing and understanding the 'game' is important too.

Just like when one didnt know that formosa hotel's membership can be transferable,he wouldnt have guess that i could actually leave behind my silver card at the reception for my other friends staying there (when i am not physically there) gets the 15% off King Massage and the food they ordered from the hotel.

Bro,i believe Chinatown or Arcade should have about similar or at times better rate than in Batam since a day or 2 before CNY eve. Or the least,this year most of my money were changed in Chinatown. 9330/SGD 2 days before CNY eve and 9300/SGD respectively.

I have learned from my last 2 years CNY experience,i arrived Batam prepared with between 9380/SGD to 9400/SGD from my last Dec trip. Still not enough due to my extended stay,so i have to change a bit more at 9250/SGD in Batam.

Next year CNY 2018,i hope to do better.

Yes,went to fetch a girl from the airport who is currently still in my room now,hehehe...however, I didnt get to tour the airport due to time constraint. Shall do so in the near future.

Just arrived at Batam Centre 30mins ago.

Texted my regular moneychanger at Nagoya (around noon time) and he could only offer me 9320 as he said it was still CNY and rates are not good.

Decided to try my luck at the moneychanger in the ferry terminal. The signboard was showing 9100 but they opened with an offer of 9250. I managed to coerce them to give me a decent rate of 9350 because I changed SGD2k.
