Ever since that day, I have been thinking alot about Hsien. And visiting her everytime was quite costly for me. For going to the hotel wasn't just enough. I wanted to have fond memories of our outings. We would go to places like Keppel Bay, Marina and a lot more places.
Life with her seemed really blissful, except for some days when Hsien would tell me that she is booked overnight by some regular client. There I felt the overwhelming taste of vinegar on the tip of my tongue. I couldn't bear the thought of her with another guy. She should be mine. And all mine to devour. I was paying less attention to Shirley for she was always on the computer. Throughout the month, the number of words spoke could easily be counted using both hands. And again she rejected all forms of sex, even touching her was impossible. She would brush me off with her hands, or make the 'zek' sound, stare at me or even shout at me. I could find it really hard to even share the same bed. I was literally sleeping with a stranger. Although we are married in name, but there was no intimacy at all. I was disappointed with myself for I thought I was all to blame. I thought that because of my busy work nature, I had neglected her. But no. Even trying to bring her out for nice dinners, I was rejected straight in my face. All she wanted was just her game. End of story. This hopeless issue was never resolved. I, too was spending more time in my own room as well, chatting on QQ with Hsien. I had no friends there, only her. I would wait everyday for the nudge from the little black penguin. And we would turn on our webcams and speak to each other. I found it easier talking to her than my so called wife. For Hsien would be there to lend a listening ear, be there to encourage or comfort me when I'm down, or even providing solutions to my work! She was the perfect partner. Hsien: Sorry for making things hard for you Max. I just wanted to tell you how much you meant to me. Me: I understand.  Hsien: Love you. As I yearn to see her often, a large amount of money was slowly depleting from my bank account but I still continued for I believed buying happiness with money. Months went by and still there was no change in Shirley. Until one day, I blew my top like an active volcano. Shirley's question was really absurd. And I wished I could give her a huge slap on her face. It was a really busy day at work. Stressed out by clients. Overwhelmed by work pile. And the only refuge was home. This weekend Shirley was at my house. Now seeing her playing with the com was already no big deal. I went for a quick shower and dropped dead on my bed. It was already midnight when someone shook my shoulders. Shirley, for the first time was wearing a translucent black nightdress. As she climbed on top of me, gently using her fist to tap on my back, giving me a massage. I was surprised by this gesture and somehow I knew she would have an ulterior motive. I put on the act and pretended to turn around. She met my gaze and came close to me. Shirley: Max... Me: Yes? Is something wrong? Shirley: You see, I've met some people online during the game and they were asking something. Me: Er..Yes? Shirley: Do you think.... Me: ... ya? what are you trying to say? Shirley: They were asking if they could have sex with me. Could you bring me there and witness me being fucked by them? Now there was a fine line between being stupid and naive. Me (In a harsh tone): Don't be stupid, do you think I would agree seeing my wife being pounced by other men than myself? For GOD's sake, this is reality Shirley, not some virtual world you are living in! Wake up! Shirley: Don't be insane. Me: Let me tell you this thing straight. I WILL NOT ALLOW THIS. If you even dare to try we will sign the PAPERS. I am warning you Shirley. She turned her back and kept quiet, grumbling about how petty I am and things like that. My heart was racing with frustration for how can an adult especially a married woman telling her husband all these? And the reason she rejects sex is just because she feels that her gut feel tells her that her husband can't perform whilst other online gamers are good, what sort of bloody logic was this? Shirley did not flinch at all. Instead, she went back to playing her game again. I had enough. I took my keys and went off on a drink. Hsien and I were exchanging lots of messages over the QQ app on my iphone. She was really concerned about me. Her attentive nature had never failed to captivate me.

And the online people was cursing and swearing how useless her husband was. And of course she agreed to it. Saying she would yearn to find someone who cares for her. Somemore who would buy food for her and not let her go hungry again. She yawned and finally switched off her com and went to sleep.
