Soi 33 known for "dead artists" bars hence names like Dali, Revoir etc. Rekindle memories of my initiation to bkk 4 years ago, then still wet behind my ears. Good for HH to chillout, some expat buz farang types do hangout then. Gals packaged in evening dresses (part of illusion) with english speak. Bf over the top bt1200-1500.

Christie's mamasan, Fa in her late 30s then (still there) has kept her figure and complexion pearly white. Gal I took 1st night at Christie's, recommended me to Dali ... my 1st lucky salvo with a OL moonlighting after work. Enroute from 1st pub to another in Lad Prao, taken by surprise by bbj in cab. Great time with her dirty dancing with me (wooden legs). Followed by overnighter at Hilton (now Nai Lai Pert) with no $ pre negotiation.. only natural course of events. Kns, bitter sweet memories as I rtf in a fortnight. Then, there was more baht for our buck. If you ever hit Dali, give that old dragon mamasan a wide berth, miserable looking lady and screws you for LDs.

Watch out for the japanese ktv bars in the neighbourhood. You will be out of pocket with time based + LD + expensive btls. Like Copacabena (if still there) afew doors away. There awas this nice thai restaurant next door to Dali, Oom Thong. But standard dropped from few years back.

Bro Norikasan, you can always drop by after your fave rub down near soi 29, yes? And RT's Cave recommendation is ony for the bravehearts -fetish bar lah

I just read in BANGKOK POST that tonight and tomorrow, no bars are allowed to sell alcohol as the "advance voting" for the next week general election will be held tomorrow and Sunday.

yesterday, I went to HOLLYWOOD AWARDS and a few bars in Soi Cowboy and learnt that both places will be closed tonight and tomorrow night. At first, I was wondering what is the occasions as I know it is not official public holidays. I don't even know there is such a thing as "advance voting" for election but I know now after Googling. there will be nowhere to go tonight to drink tonight. and get girls.. this is fucked-up..

any other bros in Bangkok now ? any suggestion as to where to go? secret places known only to locals, perhaps?

You could always try hitting up a massage joint for girls, or you could try your luck at Lumpini park.

Coincidentally, it's also exam time for unis from now until Christmas, so picking might be slim. Do note that the few days leading up to Christmas will also be 'dry' days. i.e. no alcohol etc.

Bro, that stretch not for our play (minus deep pockets). Nothing happening, seriously. I still pop by now and then for a pint to chat up 1/2 old contacts (kns, amortised after such long service). Sometimes even siam by walking opposite side soi. Only good for HH chillout... kns, the dragon mamasan Joyce at Dali (dun that nick deceive you) gives me the chills alright! Psst.. got ST hotel "Peep Inn" nearby. BIG rooms fit for orgy

go back to province specially to vote need to take coach which means spending money! dun think most Thais will be bothered.

my Thai friend told me he will not vote because he said end of the day everything will still be fukked up. different person but same corruption. police fukked up also. everyday collect coffee money as usual. haha.

It seems my earlier assumption that all gogobars and clubs and discos are not true. Many of the gogobars were open for business yesterday but no alcohol is served. All customers ogle at girls while drinking water spiced with lemon or Coke at between 100baht and 120baht.

LONG GUN is closed but most others are open.

oh my god, i can't believe i'll b in bkk with no alcohol served. my shortlisted clubs to chiong - Banyan Tree, Song Saleung, Nang Len, Route66..
