learn it the expensive way by finding a viet gerfriend.

you can go to Borders and buy the gree/yellw eng-viet-eng dictionary. quite small and thin but very very useful. Price should be $12. not really sure because i bought mine in HCMC.

BUt do be careful, dosent mean you can write and read viet, means you can listen and speak it. ITs tonal like mandarin but pronounciation is the hard part. How it is spelt, dosent mean it is pronounced the way it is spelt.

What advice u need?

For hotel, dont stay in an expensive one. If more than US$30 then i think not gal-friendly, though less than 30 it may also not... luck counts...

As for disco, gossip, volcano, palace, alpocalyse now, etc....
