Remember the world is evolving ... Likewise Vietnam is evloving too ... gals mentality changes ... things changes ... life also changes .. therefore we should constantly share and update so that everyone who are REAL towards this forum will benefit from each other sharing ....

Just a bit of my contributions. Abit i have learnt from the big bros here, as well as from my baxa. Will try my best to include pronounciations if i am able to (dun wanna mislead anyone).

I am not sure where to start, so will start with some connectors I find quite helpful understanding the flow of conversations.

Connectors

cung = together, pronounced as "kong"
cung = also/too, pronounced as "kuung"
nen = should, pronounced as "nan"
dung nen = should not
lai = again, pronounced as "lie".
nhat nhat = the most (used in the context of "love the most")
se = event that will happen, pronounced as "say" (can be used in the context of "will" as in "will not, se khong")
va = and, pronounced as "vaa"
voi = with, pronounced as "vui"

Descriptions

tot = good, pronounced as "toot"
som = early, pronounced as "soom"

Objects

bia = Beer , pronounced as "beer" (I guess alcohol in general sense as well)
khoe = health, pronounced as "quear"
khoe manh = healthy, pronounced as "quear maik"
may bay = aeroplane, pronounced as "maai baai"
moi = lips, pronounced as "moor"
ve may bay = plane ticket, pronounced as "vea maai baai"
xe o to = car, pronounced as "seh auto"

I can agree to what you have written but not 100% ....

Reason being without the context , you are unable to confirm the meaning of it coz it can represent other being too ...

for example bo - without the context it can be beef but it can mean others ...

agreed. i can't really say my previous post was accurate also. one word can indeed mean many things in different context and thats the trouble i am having with tieng viet.
