2016-2018 will be a tough period globally. for those out of jobs right now or been so for a long period. why not take the opportunity to consider other prospects, such as in Healthcare. Give it a thought.

I have been trying healthcare but no luck. Just managed to secure a short term contract job after 6 months of being jobless

Is there a particular area that you were looking at? example, if you are in finance and wish to get into healthcare finance, that might be a tough selection. Not impossible but I must clarify my earlier statement. Best to "take shelter" in healthcare during this couple of years of economic uncertainty. Who knows, it might just be a calling in disguise.

I also met the same thing in 2013.

In the end, I didn't wait for the $$ but joined another firm. There are about 20k package (I worked more then 8 years), but the vacancy can't wait. Since I'm the sole breadwinner, I had to give up the $$. Anyway, Job is always important then the lump sum $$.

Just look forward and everything will be good.

Yar, miss the good old days. You know everyone in the company and we will share all our family things in the company. When you have problem in your family, lots of ppl will give you a hand. I still remember the pantry aunty in my 1st company, she treated as like her kids.

It's a challenging period for many lately.



I'm lucky with only a pay cut, i can survive with a few hundred dollar lesser each month, it's not a big deal.



I'm in a lousy mood because of the situation some of my past colleagues are in right now. It's really sad.



This 40 year old father with his first kid barely 4 months old got the letter from HR. He's the sole breadwinner too.


One more getting married next month. I counted 7 out of 10 sitting in the same banquet table would be without a job.



Another lady just came back from her maternity leave, HR somehow gave her more time. She was to leave by 31 dec, that was the best they could do for her.



It's situation like this that affects me mostly.



I hope it gets better for everyone soon.

Dun need to apologise. Indeed is a very challenging period for many people. Having a job as least keep your income coming in, spent less and still able to live merrily.

If sporeans are so great at office politics, then its very easy for them to fix the cb foreigners to make them lose their jobs.

Spore is the fake country which allow tons of foreigners in cos they 'create jobs'. Wtf. As if its so easy to go to US, Europe or even Australia for white collar jobs. And that includes the cb Prcs n Indians

It's all the stupid gutless sporeans who believe in lies that tomorrow will b better. And that's not said yesterday hor. It's said years ago n repeat n repeat.
