1) can lah, $200sgd really can feed family of 4-5 for 4weeks. even if the family is full of people who eat bloody 3 bowls of rice (per person) every meal, it is still enough for 3weeks.
I know, cuz i visit Vn many many times, North, South, Central.

2) sigh ... i know i cannot help everyone. i wish i can. but alas, i am in no financial position to do so.

3) yes, of course we dunno this whole thing true or not. But, even if i get conned, it is $200sgd. can con once, twice, cannot con forever.

Bro Colt1911, i know you have a good intention to help. But i believe it is not necessary to help them out. The viet gals alsways got a way out. Can leh..like I said really really budget.
Breakfast: Egg and bread +coffee (VND8k)
Lunch: Rice 1 veg + 1 meat + coffee (VND12K)
Dinner : rice veg meat + coke (VND15K)

That is if I eat out. But if cook, might be even cheaper but then very hard to cook for 1 person. alo lazy, have to clean up after that.

But sigh...instead of standing up to US, we bow down to them and thus i suspect MHA knee jerk reactedly authorised the raids to show and prove to US that we are doing what we can to stamp out human trafficking. But they certainly as usual go overboard with it and cause us guys after a hard day's work much inconvenience.

I whole-heartedly support Anti-Vice's efforts, afterall, they are singaporeans too, and furthermore, i personally will not patronise any brothel or establishment that FORCE women into such trade.

It may sound hypocritical, for many will feel that no prostitue enjoys her job, and believed that they are forced into it. I am no stranger to paying for my sexual needs, but the difference is that those girls that i had paid did their services freely without force. Hell! at times i even see the okts need to beg them to do their job!

Prostitution is frowned upon by civilised society, for it lowers the dignity of the women involved. But it is a necessary service, otherwise men will have no outlet to release their baser needs and may harm innocent women around them, such as what had and is happening in Kedah, a prostitution banned province. As such, matured societies kept an eye closed to it since the dawn of civilisation till a solution can be found that can firmly and safely eradicate the need for prostitution fully, perhaps thru eugenics(genetic modifications).

Prostitution is a commercialised affair, a transaction between a willing partner for an agreed upon sum of money by a customer. Throughout history, this service never changed and is a form of employment to some to tide over a temporary financial need. I abhorred practices whereby children are sold to okts for such a trade, and I blame their govts for not doing enough to protect their citizens.

I will not glamourise or whitewash the trade but there are other situations whereby adult females know the social stigma attached and got into the trade willingly and knowingly, treating it as a form of employment which otherwise they would not have the opportunities to earn such staggering sums within a short time.

And there are others who are lured by greed, to satisfy their material needs and got into such trades. These 2 situations are WLs who are certainly not 'forced' and it is such WLs that we men, those who have problem with their wives, have strong sexual urges, ugly guys like me whom women will not want, look to, to release their natural born urges upon without guilt. (Being a civilised nation, we treat these WL civilly and never force them to do things they wouldnt want to do ( except perhaps for a minority of bad eggs) even if it is supposed to be covered in the 'contract'!)

I suggest that brothers here help out our boys in blue and AV teams as well to stamp out human trafficking and make their jobs easier:-

1. Check with your WL girlfriends if they were forced into it and if not, who amongst them are forced into it, and give names of the okt to you to relay to the boys in blue confidentially.

2. For goodness sake, tell them if they are caught, not to use the excuse 'human trafficking' just to escape the law when they are not even forced into this trade. It makes our nation look bad for it is a lie and other WLs who are not forced would not be able to work in this trade again. Tell them they have nothing to fear as they are and will be treated as valued tourists.

With this, lets hope peace will reign, we can go back to our beers and company, and our govt not bow to US pressure. We had been pressured enough lately.

yes, i know there are lots of single Vn mummy out there,

and yes, i do not have that many "$200" to spare (in fact, that is ALL i can spare right now).

BUT, as i said previuosly and i say it again,
i cannot help everyone, and i cannot help with much,
but even if i can just help someone, just one more person, and help a bit, i will do so.

brothers here, i am not trying to say i am a saint (far from it), but as i say, i help with whatever amount i can, and i help however many i can.

i am not earning much, middle-income group (let's just say my take home amount is about 2500+/-, depending on what the F things get deducted from my pay per month lah)

and i am saying this not so much to tell you all that i am some Saint or Bodhisattva. but i am saying it because i want all to know that however little we can help, it counts.

i currently support 2 children in Vn thru WorldVision.
i donate every month to KDF ($120 every 3mths).
every year, i help 1 or 2 needy students in my former JC to pay for their A Level fees (fuckin fees are ex man, range from $400 - $480 depending on subjects)
and on and off every few month i contribute here and there to things like Medical Mission in Hong Kong or other organisations.

and of course, i pay for insurance, parents bills, and whatever other things lah etc etc ....

all i am saying is, i help with however little i can spare (and its not much, i know).
