ya, that weekend was bit chilly, ladies were hugging us tight hehe. ..forgot about the last time we went, mid year bah. was warm then. this time round cool and nice to hunt all the farms, either along the Yes club area or those smaller ones ard the Oscar hotel area during the day.

abt currency, all farms accept 1RM to 10 baht, 7-11 only now follow, used to be RM to 9 plus baht but now baht falls they accept 1:10, mac I forgot. all the other makan place in DK, 1:10.

Hey all, for first timer to dannok, is it better to drive in or just take coach into bukit kayu hitam? Planning to stay one night probably around 4/Feb..

Drive in u have to show ur car registration card, if the car not belongs to you, u need another authorization letter, one good things about drive in is, u don't need to wait much long on M'sian border, as coach/bus/van have to get down and Q, but its okay on the weekdays i guess, and now should be ok oso after the booming case.

We took alisan coach from KL up to Thai immigration, departs 9.45am and reached there around 4pm. Not much crowd and after clear immigration, we just took a leisure walk up to oliver. Convenient and hassle free, but slightly longer than drive up own

KPK side seems to be celebrating some kind of 'lighting ceremony or temple' festival on 23/1 with full color ads in m'sian sin chew paper for past few days. Never been to KPK side and wondering is it the same scenarios as oliver side? or better

When enquire at Konsurtium only up to bukit kayu hitam.. Is it that one is Thai immigration ald? Or I need to take another transport from there?

If only stop at Bukit Kayu Hitam/Sadao Immigration.
After cross into Thailand (Dannok Town) take those white van near the 7-11 at border to Hatyai.

If you stopped at BKH, after passed M'sia Immigration, you will have to walk few minutes upwards toward the thai immigration, passing the duty free complex.

We bought Alisan coach KL-Hatyai tickets. After passing Thai Immigration at the border right after BKH, we did not board back the coach but instead walked to Oliver.

The coach driver will asked who'll will getting off at Danok after BKH and we also did informed earlier at the last toilet stop CTC (before BKH) that we will not boarding back the coach after Thai Immigration.

We bought our tickets at Pudu Sentral, Counter 45, Alisan for RM52/pax. The next day, we took the van shuttle in front of a 7-11 facing the main road (not the one near oliver in front of the bakuteh) for RM7/pax (THB57) to hatyai. Return from Hatyai to KL was THB450/pax for single deck coach (double deck is THB600) by alisan. Hope it helps. Have fun.
