Brudder getting possess are real stuffs and the evidnces are holy words or mantra can help. I have a chirstian colleague whose wifey is under depression and finally he admit that he know that she is possessed but seek help from pastors from constant visit of church and talks to purify herself. There are times that my mant ra can help to soften my wifey agression. There are times that i know that she is not her normal self. Scince talk about objective evidences but there are experinces that you encounter that it is impossible not to believe it is not real.

I believe both medical help and religious is needed.
she need go through professional help from both.
i suggest u bring her see psychiatrist with some medical help
while on the other hand depend on your religion let her stay away clam down her mind
no nessesary to go monkhood or nunhood, alot temple offer stay over for peace mind
since she experience it for so long, she might need to learn to accept and face "them"
Rather then just afraid them. Everything sure have a way to solve is how u find the way

One crucial key to differentiate between psychological problem or 'possession' is pretty simple, during whatever episode that you think something is not right, hold her, ask 'it' to clearly identify itself. If it couldn't/wouldn't identify itself means it's psychological.

An acquaintance of mine in Sydney has this sort of issue, she claimed that something must be inside of her and when asked, she just couldn't identify itself, and had to think of or came up with something. Therefore, the conclusion was that she had psychological problem and not a 'possession'. hint: they love to identify themselves. just look for her inconsistencies

In psychology, there's this shutting down mechanism for the psyche, where when the psyche failed to manifest in real life, it would accumulate into a different persona. Most of the time, it is to escape from reality. A persona or many is created in order to bridge the disconnect between the person's expectation against reality. A trauma for example. There is usually a trigger to each episode if you carefully observe.
