For me,going to Batam is like going to Sentosa,just that you will need a passport with at least 6 months validity. Most newbie's main worry is the language barrier,but well...most people you will be meeting will know some broken English. Otherwise hand sign language will work just about as good.

The 3 safe joints were New Berry,Gold Bird and Bunga. I called this 3 safer places becos the runaway rate were the lowest among all other overnight booking joints. (it does not means this 3 booking has no runaways) And the service standard were pretty much consistent. If you are into SYT,then be prepare for the lack of service and some princess sickness.

(My definition of SYT = Sweet,young (around age 22 and below),pretty,slim)

My main worry for newbies were expectation,hence i always advise them to keep expectation low,be humble,talk nice and avoid being loud spoken. Everyone will know you are a Sillyporean or comparable to a China man once your conversing volume can reach the next table in an indoor restaurant,hehehe...which usually were deem as not-nice by the locals or even another Sillyporean.

You may also wish to check out their wifi 1st before committing into booking them (email them 1st). And if you are heading there during weekends,do book early. This hotel is always fully book most of the time and especially so during weekends.

And forget Nagoya Inn,that 1 star hotel is pretty rundown. Known to be Ah Lau's hotel,hehehe...popularly known to be a hotel for older man.

Early ferry slot also all gone left noon timings , usual hotel also full. Managed to book the new L Hotel , shall post review after trying out the big mirror when I'm back. A little regret to plan a trip during this long weekend.

I'm prepared to set my expectations to the lowest on this trip liao Any bros wanna hook up on that day do pm me.
