In Hanoi Airport, I got only SGD 1 : VND 12646.
Yesterday I even kanna forced to accept a stupid rate of SGD 1 : VND 11500 in the old quarters. But no choice because it was an emergency. Really bang-balls.

Officially, the banks the are still going at the "official rate" of USD$1 - VND16200 - 16300. The rates Beijunda are quoting are the "free Market" or otherwise known as the black market rate.

Vietnam has just declared inflation to be currently at 22% but says it is only temporary and it wil go down. I dont think it will happen at this rate, inflation will most probably hit 40% by year end.
