I was at hcmc for 5 times and my next trip to vn will still be hcmc. From there, maybe i will ventured out to Mekong River Delta, or go to An Giang for countryside visit....

As for Barocco, i think it is so-so. I guess better place will be disco at D1 instead. My 2000dong worth of thinking

On Dec 2005, i visit hcmc staying at TMD in Le Thanh Ton, a room for 2 persons is at abt US$35 only, and with daily breakfast, although not that great.

I personally feel that Most Disco in HCM is too loud and they are playing almost the same kind of music. Some Deejays like Bo actually spin about 3 disco 1 night.

Now, I prefer to go to places with Live Band like 17 Saloon, Club 16 and Bui. Not so noisy and PR are also available at Club 16 and Bui.

Tonight, 8 Jun, I will meeting SS08 and Carrot007 for Dinner and maybe proceed to one of the live-band clubs. Interested party, please feel free to join us.

I wonder where is our Chairman Reaper, MIA!!!

Yes, the Hotel rates in HCM are going up very fast these 2 years. same goes to Singapore Hotel. Check out Hotel 81 overnight rate and you will be surprise.

I'd have to agree with you on this point. The discos are so loud it's near impossible to chat someone up. Either someone new or even the people you're with. I think the live music venues will be a better bet too although I'm also looking for a club that plays good hip-hop/R&B music instead of the techno that seems to be very populare here. Not so much as a pickup joint but somewhere to bring some gals I already know

Will you be in HCM either 6/15-6/22 or 6/25-6/29? Looking forward to the chance of meeting you
