I don't quite agree as in buying when the economy is good (if that is what you meant), if you are saying the economics of that particular company is good, than it makes sense e.g. the NAV & PE ratio.

You will never be able to know when the prices will be the lowest or the highest, as its just simply not possible so the best expectation is just sell when you make a profit regardless of the amount and don't look back saying "haiz I should have held on to it", cos what happens if you held back & prices spirals down the next day??? Than you will be saying "I should have sold off yesterday"

FYI I was stuck with Samudera shares for more than 10 years and still made a loss after selling it

But I do really agree wholeheartedly with your last statement, saving is good but you still need to enjoy yourself while you are still alive and able to appreciate the finer things in life, I'm quite a prudent saver in the past but everything was wiped out twice when something unfortunate happened (some of you already know what happened) so now my principle is to go for what I want in life + enjoy it to the fullest ^_^

Just some info to share with you.

· It has a strong Q1 result with net profit rise 46% (in US $ ) or EPS = S$0.0187

· Company expects business is good for the rest of year due to Asia-Europe and intra Asia container shipping demand continue growth.

· It has take delivery one ship in Jan and expects take delivery of 2 more ships later of the years. It 25% own LNG vessel will take delivery and start operation in Q4 2008. With these expansions, companies cash holding will change from net cash to net borrow. But the gearing still quite low. This maybe indicate more efficient use of it capital and business continue to growth in size.

With estimate 2008 EPS = 7.5 cent or PE = 5.8 time. It NTA = 56 cent or PB =0.76

Suggestion:- buy, share price is very cheap.

I think the recent dividend is not bad. I feel better than the bank interest rate.

Lets not discuss any further here, I dont want get into trouble again.
