Me " I would like to have a cappuccino then "


We sat down to talk hobbies . I got to find out mr tan is a biker lover himself. We talk about bikes and his experience riding to malaysia taking the small road before e HSHW was ready.

Me " so mr tan is there anything you wish to speak about, I am sure this meeting is not just about coffee right ?"

Tan " ah har ... You are very sharp. Well for e start this coming Friday is my niece birthday . Remember I invited you to coming for dinner ? actually I am throwing her a surprise b day party that she does not know about . Several of my guest would be coming . I want you to arrange for valet drivers to park my guest car. Parking around my estate is limited."

Me " mr tan , no problem . I will handle it first thing tomorrow when I get back to office"

Mr tan " I have confidence in you , but the problem is I don't want our company to handle this. Pls get private ppl to do the job. This is a low key event.

Me " noted mr tan , I have outside contacts . Leave this to me "

Tan " thank you , by the way young man. You are my invited guest on that day. You are not to do any of the valet parking job. You can supervise, but don't do the job ..alright ?

Me " erhhh mr tAn I don't understand.....

TAn " ok i will be honest with you. You know my niece right ?

Me " Helen, right . Yes I do.

Tan " i saw u alight Helen the other night. She walked in crying and went upstairs .

Me " sorry mr tan ....the other night ... I .....

Tan " no need to explain.... I know , I know . I don't blame you. Pls just come for e surprise party ok ? That is all I ask of u.

Mr tan stood up and walked away without even giving me a chance to reject him. Mr tan mood changed and he seems trouble. at this point in figure out it would be good to leave him alone.

While walking back to my bike I decided to call my friend MR Z

Hello mr Z how is going ? Are you busy ? ..... I asked

Mr Z " I am doing ok man , what's up "

Me " I got a private job for you. Next Friday I need 6 valet car drivers . Two of them will provide drive home service for guest in case they are tipsy and can't handle the car. I need you to be around to. Pls get me a 5 series in dark color, you come and pick me on that day, address of event is XYZ Meyer road.

Z " I will see to it. Thanks for this lobang "

Me " I am invited for this event . You will oversea this operation. Pls handle it well. Payment I will pay end of the day ."

Z : consider it done.

I started my bike and head back home .

Went back to tanglin halt hawker centre and have my favorite " No 1 Western food" .

Monday and tuesdAy went by very fast at the work place.

Siti was busy setting up her new hawker stall and never come over to my place.

Wednesday I reported half an hour earlier , and was surprised to find Mr RT our operations supervisor back in office.

Me " hey I thg You are still on MC ? "

He was talking to my boss on some matters.

As soon they saw me they stop their conversation.

Boss " Charles today you brief Mr RT on what need to hand over. Tomorrow you go back to your normal duties. RT will be start work today"

Me " sure boss"

I can sense something wasn't too right.

During lunch time, RT had arranged for packet lunch .

RT " I am sorry I overlook your lunch , I am just not used to you during office hours I guess "

Me " is ok I will jump on my bike and go to nearby to take a bite, should be back in 30mins "

I had a fast lunch and came back.

RT " Charles a client that lease our car has a flat tyre , can u take our van down to assist "

Me " sure"

I was at the said location given by Mr RT . I could not spot the car.

Me " hey I am tuas south , I could not find the car"

RT " oh is it, then you head back to office."

Frustrated, I stick to the speed limit at 70km all the way back to office.

RT " sorry about it .... I guess the client has fixed up on his own and left." " oh by the way I got a job assignment tonight ten pm pick the client up and drive him to this KTV.

Me " ok... I took the job order sheet and walk away"

RT " I am not done yet, since you are working till early morning , why don't u do a arrival flight for me at 4am. "

I took the order Order sheet and walk away without saying anything .

It was already 2am when I alighted the client back to his home after his trip to a KTV.

I head back to office to standby since I need to be at airport by 4am.

I place the company card on the office card reader. The reader rejected my card and the glass door did not open. I do not have 24 hours access any more. The reader prompted " entry denied"

I rested in the car instead . Set the alarm to 330am and felt asleep soon.

It was already 5am and there was no sign of client.

I called the hotel .

Hotel recep " sorry to keep u waiting Charles . The VIP arrival will be at 1600hrs not 0400 hrs. You may have got the wrong information.

Me " thank you very much "

I reached home at. 6am . Woke up at 8 am and reached office at 845am.

I placed the the two job order sheet on mr RT desk.

RT " good morning Charles , everything ok ?"

I gave him the thumbs up and did not say anything more.

RT " by the way , our uncle washing the car is on MC today. I need you to cover his duties to wash car today We got ten cars to wash later"

I stood up removed my long sleeve shirt and placed it on the chair . I adjusted my white singlet and walk out to the washing bay.

Placing my shoes And socks aside , I started to,wash the first car that arrived in the bay while the rest of the cars are waiting in line.

I must have washed about 15 cars instead. I look at my watch I was already way passed lunch time. I clean myself up and went back to office.

Me " RT can I go out to have my lunch "

RT " oh I am sorry, I forgot you are at the washing Bay Area .... Pls go and have your lunch. "

I put on my bike jacket and head off for lunch.

I came back from lunch and sat down on my table.

RT came to my table and throw the documents on my table...

RT " did you deliver this brand new BMW 7 series to MR TAN at XYZ Meyer road. "

Me " yes I did . "

RT " the documents are not in order . You need to do this ..... And this ..... He blasted at me non stop. "

Me " sorry mr RT is my first time doing this kind of job, I will be careful the next time. Did Mr Tan complain ?

RT " no he did not, I am just telling you that the documents are not in order. "

Me " noted Mr RT"

Mr RT walked away angrily.

For the rest of the afternoon , MR RT make me do office despatch job since I got a bike.
He gave me a company fuel card for my bike petrol .

I left office and did my running around. I completed my last assignment at 0630pm.

I called back office there wasn't anyone to pickup the call.

I parked the bike at home MSCP and went to a coffee shop.

Me " two cans of warm stout".... Told e kopi shop uncle,

I finished fast and went back home.

Hit the shower and went to bed.

The next day Friday I reported sharp at 9am.

RT " Charles today you report at seletar airport, standby for a indon tycoon, he is on a private jet and needs to be sent to ABC hospital. No ETA details as of this point. U just go there And standby. Take the S class.

Me " what time do I standby till if there is no show "

RT " 2359' nothing then Stand down"

I started the car and drove slowly.

I exited jalan Kayu and went a nearby provision shop. bough a loaf of whole meal bread together with a six pack of soya bean milk.

Went straight to seletar airport. I parked the car and waited at the shelter area.

It was 1030am . I called MR Z.

Me " hey Z got some change of plans. I need another driver to cover my duties at seletar airport at 1500. U drive him down here and send me back home before we head down to XYZ Meyer road.

Mr z " got it buddy "

During lunch I took the whole meal bread and drank the soya bean milk. This is to keep hunger away since I am not able to go out to buy food.

At 1500hrs mr z came down with a black BMW car.

Mr z " bro this is Hassan , he will cover for u. "

Me " mr Hassan thank you for coming to help out. Your duty is to standby here till 2359 hrs, if there is anything I will call you by Phone. After 2359 hrs , drive to this car park at tg halt carpark put a over night coupon . Take a cab back home after that . This is 15 dollars for your dinner , call for McDonald delivery . Do not drive out at all times, this car is tract by GPS I need this car to be here to, 2359.

I hand him an envelope .

Me " here is your pay together with the cab fare"

Hassan " thank you boss"

Come Mr Z , let's go, send me back home to shower and change.

At this point I could only figure out Mr RT our operations manager has something against me or is Mr Tan the main mastermind giving me a trial test. Mr RT is very senior in our company . He is in this company longer than my boss. My boss too has to take his advised and give him face bcoz of his seniority. I just have to keep it cool and had to play the right cards.
