Am doing a enquiry for a close frd who will be there on biz. Can i enquire where is the best place in HCM to change SGD to Vn dong? As in got many joints in same vicinity to compare rates? And do they offer a better rate if the quantity is big? Thanks for any info!

Usually I will change at the goldsmiths around Cho Ben Thanh cos easier and more convenient.. But have heard those stationed there that there is something like the black market where rates are more attractive..

Goldsmith shops around Ben Thanh market offers some of the better rates. For me, I find that the shop next to Pho2000 offers the best rate amongst those...

All the hotels listed are gal-friendly? I once brought a girl back to Park Royal and was stopped by the security and she had to surrender her identity card. She is quite embarrass as she is not a WL.

Any 4 star hotels that are gal-friendly to recommend?

It dosent matter. You can be holding meeting in your hotel room at 10am in the morning, you female colleagues are still required to surrender their ID card. no difference.

As for Ger friendly hotel, I say many many times liao. THERE ARE NO GIRL FRIENDLY Hotels in HCMC. Tonight can bring, tomoro nite cannot. it is up to the discretion of the hotel. but guarantee anything above 4 star cannot bring up after 9pm / 11pm

All of these hotels "should" be ger friendly except Lan Lan. With Empress you may have to pay an extra charge US$10-15 to "open" another room for your guest. That being said, all hotels(including the ones that were listed) can refuse to allow ger's to be brought back. If that happens, you are out of luck. I can confirm that based on my last trips, Lien An is ger friendly and a few of the staff there will even ask and arrange for someone for you if they see you are travelling alone. Even at the ger friendly hotels, the ger almost always has to leave her ID card at the front desk.

All 4 and 5 star hotels(incl. Park Royal) are not ger-friendly. None of them will allow guests after a certain time(usually 9-10pm). If you want to bring a ger back to a 4 or 5 star hotel, you will have to do so during the day and have her out before 9-10pm
