I am going to HCM city next week for like 4 nights, and this is going to be my 1st time in Vietnam. I don't speak any Vietnamese, but I am regular goer to nightclubs, massage parlors in Macau, China ... etc.
Anyway I have researched a bit in the forum, and found some great info. Thanks all.
But I would like to ask, if anyone can answer some of my questions so that I don't bump into stupid traps, esp. for foreigners.
However I am going alone with no friends or partners for this trip.
I am going to stay in the New World Hotel, I have heard there is a high-end nightclub called "Catwalk".
1. can anyone explain how it works? Is it just a bar, and u pick girls up or it is like a normal KTV with rooms and girls to choose?
2. If I wanted to bring the girl to the room, I have read that local girls are not allowed in for my hotel? So how to work around it or any other suggestions?
3. If I walked in alone and 1st time, will I be super-riped off by the people there?
4. Is the massage parlour in the NW hotel any good?
4. Since I am staying for a few nights, any other places you recommend for me? I prefered to be closer to my hotel if possible.

CATWALK has 4 main areas. Main Dance hall with live band playing, Dance Room playing Hip Hop, Open KTV Bar and KTV Rooms. The place has PR girls walking around. For a PR girl to sit with you, must "buy hours". cant recall how much it is. PRices are high. one of the more expensive places to go to in HCMC. Some PRs will go back with you of course not for free, I think they charge you like USD$150.
Questions have been asked over again.. I shall try a short reply to answer your queries..
1) Its a disco.. with FLs lingering ard.. the usual scene will be loads of ppl ard with bottleS of liquour on their table..
2) 4-5 star hotels do not allow girls to stay overnight.. and it happens your hotel is within this range.. most bros here stay in 3-star hotels like Sunflower, M2M.. there is a post on hotels recently so please check it out yourself.. like CHAIRMAN said, even for 3-star hotels, no guarantee your girl can stay..
3) Its just like a normal disco in Singapore, if you are afraid, the best advice is to get a Heinken, sit down one corner and see loh..
4) I have never been there before.. but heard prices are .. search the thread for cheaper ones.. I posted before- went to the Ceasar hotel one in d5
5) SEARCH THE THREAD.. there are loads of info on this.. you can find lots of info from 50 pages back..

Not all the dates will be $1, only selected days where there are low demands or many seats available, this way they can get more fares to offset the fuel consumption & airport surcharges

The New World Hotel is the ex central communist party show hotel. They are very strict on girls into the rooms as you can see by the design where there is no way you can get them past the front desk. Be very careful in this one even having a female work collegue visit the room was not allowed as she was Viet and we were warned about jail terms for breaking the rule.
The Nightclub has want to be bimbo's, better quality elsewhere although convenient. The girls will know where you can go. Never pay more than you would in sing for decent girl no matter how great she looks or seems. I always work on 100 SGD max.
The massage has gone up market co-ed like the carravelle where you can get HJ but not worth it. Little to no roaming.
When i want to check into a hotel i always say i have cousins who I will be meeting. The manditory questions of where and what sex come up and you get a feel for girl non girl friendly.
Go to a place like highland Coffee or Gloria Jeans and just ask where to go from the staff. Basically Ang Mo places local staff. The large Coffee an food place under the citibank building ,can't remember the name , has been a font of knowlege but go early when the staff are not so busy.
