Pub has tips and they also make from drinks sold. If they worked any other places the most they get is only about 100-200 USD. In pub they can make about 300-500 USD. Obviously you can make more if you opt for some ECA. It really depend on the girl and they have a choice unlike working in Karaoke. All of this happened before year 2000, when it is compulsary for girls to go back with guest if you worked in Karaoke. It is now very much different.

I'll be going over to HCM in 2 weeks, will be stayin at le thanh ton st, at lavendar hotel, very near to ben thanh market.

it's my first time there, so does anyone know of a good place near the hotel where i can get some nice massage, especially one that is open late at night?

I think you have mis-understood me. That day, I went visiting malay friends' houses because it was Selamat Hari Raya. Sorry for this mis-understanding.

If you want halal food, I believe there are some in HCM. I remember Zaryl mentioning about those places but my memory had failed me now.

When you mention late, what time do you actually mean? there are 2 options you can have depending on what time you go.

When you walk out of you hotel, turn right and walk to the junction of Le Thanh Ton and Truong Dinh street. Turn right at the junction and you will see 2 Hair Salons opposite the Hindu Temple. I heard they open till 9pm. If you pass the Le Thanh Ton / Truong Dinh junction and keep walking straight up, you will come to the junction of Le Thanh Ton and Le Anh Xuan.

Turn right at this junction and you will find 3 mor saloons. It is also on this street that Lion city(Singapore food) restaurant is located.

All these places offer hair wash, facials, mani / pedi massages but it is all clean. However, according to a previous posting, one of the guys here got something extra. Go do a search.

If you mean later as in really late, you can try Rona massage on Huynh Thuc Khanh st, it is opposite the other end of Ben Thanh Market, near the round about. these are the only few I know.

well, so far all the salons u mentioned are clean... what about those with more 'action'?

I would be looking at roaming the neighbourhood at around 10 - 11pm.

and I will be looking forward to having the lion restaurant meals, now that i have the directions there. great!

The one called Rona provides extra services and opens late. There is also another on located in Dai Nam hotel located on Trang Hung Dao street. You can ask you hotel conceriege for directions.

What you can do is walk around your hotel area and there will be "girls" on motorbikes who will approach you. Be warned. some of them use to be girls. if you catch my drift. Some guys on motorbikes will also approach you. Becareful, sometimes they are out to steal from you or extort from you.
